The Banning of Smoking in Public Places Smoking is one of the most dangerous issues that people are rarely aware of. It causes a lot of diseases and deaths for both smokers and non-smokers. Smoking related-diseases kill one in ten adults globally, or cause four million deaths yearly. Those illnesses wouldn’t have spread out to the society if they kept their smoke away from people and where they always are (public places).
Hence, smoking in public places should be completely banned to overcome its negative effect on health.
Smokers unfortunately have an extremely high risk of getting some type of cancer. The German researcher William Faulkner mentioned that this happens due to the presenceof a certain substance in tobacco which causes various kinds of cancer: lung cancer, mouth cancer, and others. These diseases are almost deadlyand nearly impossible to cure. Cancer researches in the UK state more than eighty five percent of patients with lung cancer for instance, are smoking regularly. Unfortunately, second hand smokers are not protected as well. Second hand smokers suffer from late cancer and other strong illnesses and that is a real disaster.
Furthermore, smoking has some unpleasant cosmetic effects too. Smokers often suffer from bad breath, yellowing teeth and nails, and early wrinkles around the mouth. In addition, heavy smokers actually get a lot of difficulties with their breathing, and that causes a great decrease in the amount of oxygen that the body needs to take in. The more they smoke, the closer they get to death. Also, smoking causes changes in the coloring and smoothness of the skin, often resulting in an ashy complexion. A smoker is also three times more likely to lose teeth than a non-smoker.

In spite of all these disadvantages many people smoke just the same. -Those peoplewho are for smoking believe that a basic principle of human rights, is that everyone has the right to control what goes into their own body. These smokers claim that it helps them to relax and release stress.
