Tony Cole The way I feel about something’s in life I can’t change makes me feel sick inside. Life has many different ways of working with you and against you. I found that many people don’t get the chance to see good things work for them. The most important strategy is just to keep the faith in your family and closest friends. I found faith and truth in my own family. Tony was my step brother who I was introduced to in the beginning of my fathers new relationship with a good woman named Sue Cole.
I found that a lot of the people I met in the Cole family were people with a good heart and soul. Sometimes I never got all the answers to whom the family truly was from the beginning. I found out there was many good things to learn. I carried on and believed in the family. I put aside the unknowns and said to myself, this is my father and all I care is that what makes him a happier man. Out of the three kids that sue had in a previous marriage I found that I could relate to Tony.
I found that all of sue’s kids had a good side to them. I found that good side in Tony through some good times. Tony had his party side. He was a little older than me and he had more experiences with the party seen. One new years eve night I threw a party and he came over to have a few beers. The night became one of the step brother bonding points between the two of us.
Tony was having a good time and he showed it by meeting my buddies and other people like my cousin Joe. Tony found the fun to be getting into the party and talking to new people. He was in his world of fun times on that new years eve night. The fun times ended and the morning turned into a lot of snoring people passed out on the floor.
The Essay on Good Country People Vs A Good Man Is Hard To Find
Mistrust, religion, dysfunctional families, and death are all topics that come up at one time or another during Fannery O’Connor’s symbolic tales “Good Country People” and “A Good Man is Hard to Find”. “Good Country People” is a story about a simple mother, her 30 year old daughter who likes being miserable, and the man that steals her leg and ...
I think he was the one passed out on the floor snoring like a hibernating bear in the woods. I couldn’t see straight in the morning. We all woke up in the morning to find that all we could do was talk over Stanley’s Corner breakfast, and cure the hang over we created over night. The breakfast was in front of our faces and we couldn’t eat at a normal pace. The water and food was filling me up and I was feeling better. The breakfast table became a story time session.
As each party story was exchanged throughout the breakfast of the night before, there was one story that sticks in my head to this day. Tony told me someone was picking on my sister and he had to set him straight. This old man who showed up from nowhere was at the party and was in his alternative closes and he carried a bottle of hard liquor around the party with him. Tony said to me over my breakfast, ” The old man was trying to kiss and hit on your sister and I told him he better stop.” The man made a smart ass remark to Tony and said, “I don’t give a shit who the girl is.” Tony then told me over the crumbs of bread that were left on the breakfast plate in front of me at the table, ” You better leave old man!” The man wouldn’t leave so Tony smacked him in his left cheek and said, “Don’t ever mess with my sister again, leave now or I will get Jon’s big cousin Joe to help me remove you from the party.” Tony said, “The old drunk left the party and wasn’t coming back.” I was finishing the orange juice on the table and had nothing left on my plate. I don’t know what happened that night and I never heard that there was a fight or that someone was hit in the face because so many people were there to stand in the way. I do know that Tony was trying to express how he felt about my sister and I.
The Essay on Short Story and Bound Man
The short story, “The Bound Man” by Ilse Aichinger is written in a way in which there is more then one theme. In this particular piece, the overal theme that is most obvious and most revealed is self-acceptance. Self-aceptance is shown in many different parts of this story. The “Bound Man”, showed a great deal of strengh and hope that allowed one character to encounter. The ...
My questions streamed to, “who was this old man?” I remember seeing him but never gave full attention to who he was. The whole story over breakfast gave me a sense that Tony actually gave a shit about my sister and that is something I never got to thank him for. The last time I was actually able to hang out with just Tony and I, we drank some beers around a fire in the back yard of where Sue and my Father lived. We talked about numerous things in our lives. One fishing story led to another. One girlfriend story led to another and so on.
We stayed up for hours into the night. The differences between us became less common and we began to find out that we had more in common with life and many other experiences like fishing to hunting or just about anything that was associated with the outdoors. The night was a good time by the fire for story’s and I will never forget it. The next day I was able to say goodbye to Tony but never knew that it would be the last time I would ever see him again.
Tony insisted on giving me a fishing lure before he left. He said, “Hang on to this with your life and never loose it.” To find out Tony’s ambition to give me a fishing lure of his own was overwhelming. I never thought he would have given me his best lure. I was able to thank him this time around and the memory of Tony and his fishing adventures will never be forgot.
Tony was a tough guy who had a long list of tough experiences. I found that I could relate to him by the tough times that I had throughout my life. Through it all, Tony was a good guy who passed away at a very young age, and never realized how much family and people cared about him. I hate it when someone dies and then the wonder of not being able to understand why it happened is put into perspective and everyone griefs about losing someone close. Most people focus on the good times they share and that is the most important memory to express.
If only people could see the fact that life is too short. The fact of life is we all make some good and bad decisions weather they are small or big. In the end it never matters because everyone see’s the greatness of the person thru the good times spent with the one who we care deeply about. Why did Tony die? Well why is the world messed up with war and poverty? These are questions that only have one answer and that is we just don’t know why.
The Essay on Down: Personal Life and Time
In college it is easy to stray away from the main purpose, which is having a higher education. College years are supposed to include fun but not too much fun. There are many ideals to consider when trying achieving success in school. They way students manage their time and consume energy has an effect on the outcome of their success. Relaxation also plays a significant role in the turn out of ...
Each one of us has a destiny and it’s in the higher powers hands. God is the only one who knows and that is my only answer. Tony had more places to see and more places to grow with his closest family. Tony Jr. will be left with many different experiences left to explore just like his dad did with fishing and life. I just don’t have the answer to why he had to go now, and dammit he still had to take me fishing one last time.
I can’t change this issue and I would like to feel better inside about it and to know that his soul is somewhere better makes me feel that he should be fishing in heaven right now. Being Tony’s step brother gave me some good memories I will always cherish, and life is about making good memories. If he could hear me now I would just like to say, ” Thanks Tony! ! ! !”.
