The New policy rules are claimed to attack family values. While some strongly argue that new revision are necessary order to stop funding a communist dictatorship (Farley and Thale, pg. 2).
The policy has gone through a very recent and controversial change. The policy Now only allow Cuban – Americans to visit Cuba only once ever Three years, as oppose to when ever you wanted. Basically before recent revisions, you had the freedom to come and go to Cuba as you pleased.
The policy over has gone through very effective revisions. Cuban-Americans are the ones who are most effected by the policy. Basically those who have Cuban- American family in US with family in Cuba. The policy effects the families in Cuba because the policy limits the amount of humanitarian assistance that Cuban-American families can give to their family. Policy also limits the value of gifts parcels to $ 200 to one per month and one per household (Farley and Thale, pg. 3).
The strong revisions of the American travel policy towards Cuba is a topic of many heated debates. The policy is effective and supported solely by many due to it the way it cuts all economical support to Cuba, and basically to Castro (Farley and Thale, pg. 3).
But to do what is necessary, which stop supporting Castro comically, you can’t cut down visiting rights to Cuba, from whenever you wanted to Only a year. That’s why these new revisions cause a lose / lose situation in which a compromise can’t be formed, due to the fact that either side always loses. Because if you give the freedom to Americans to visit Cuba whenever they wanted, They are basically supporting Castro economically.
But it also shouldn’t the new revisions cut visiting right down to once a year in order to stop the economical support, because that way, family values are attacked.
