Truth is a property of statements, complete accuracy of propositions, sentences, assertions, and beliefs. Truth can also be tied to self- esteem because it promotes presumption. Validity is the quality of learning being used to support an argument being made. Validity can be tied to information availability because it promotes open- mindedness. Scenario C
The Bible can’t be relevant to today’s problems; it was written many centuries ago and is filled with archaic phrasing. The Bible is totally relevant to today’s problems because: (a) it is the word of God (“in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God”. John chapter 1 verse 1”.) Written down by His prophets through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (b) Even though it was written many centuries ago, it’s still fresh every time it’s been read and very powerful in solving our daily problems. (c) Finally, the bible says; “what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes chapter 1 verse 9 in the New International Version (NIV).
This simply means that problems go in circle. The solutions that were used (from the word of God) in the bible to solve difficult problems that children of God were having those days in both the Old and the New Testaments, are the same being used today by believers at various spiritual levels.
However, the bible has been written in many versions to simplify the understanding of it. The “archaic phrasing” had been taken care of by this translation. The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek. If we can all read both versions, then there would be no need for an English version. But, since most people can’t read either Hebrew or Greek, God raised men who are Holy Spirit filled and fully fluent in English, Hebrew, and Greek to do the translation into other languages. These Spirit filled men and women read the original Hebrew and Greek Bible and came up with the English equivalent. Furthermore, it was God Himself who created the language barriers in Genesis chapter 11 verses 6, 7, 8, and 9 at the Tower of Babel where God confused the language of the people. In conclusion, the bible is now translated into 50 different versions and over 255 different languages. It’s still the same bible and is truly relevant to our lives. Scenario J
The Essay on Read And Write Words Ability Correctly
Mr. Being Literate Phillip Lucas Mr. Tar low English 120 Being Literate Being literate means the ability to read and write. To strictly speak, the ability to read and write which if I wasn't able to do that I would make it in this world. To me literacy is every thing because if you weren't able to read and write you would be able to fill out job applications, type resumes, and terms papers. The ...
Power must be evil because it can corrupt people. This is a very interesting and complex topic. There is an adage that says, “Money answers all things but the love of it is the root of all evil”, this same analogy could be used for power. We all know that power is good, but if it is not well curtailed and managed, it could become evil. “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men”. (Yudkowsky, 2008, p1).
In today’s world, human beings have evolved to achieve power and status when they obtain it. There have been so many occasions where absolute power corrupts good people and they end up finding themselves behind bars. A very good example is the case of the former governor of Virginia, Robert McDonnell and his wife Maureen were guilty of 11 counts of corruption and were sentenced to two years in jail because he used his office influence to obtain favor from one of his political donor (CNN, 2014).
Another good example of corrupts people in power is the case of the New Jersey senator, Bob Menendez who was indicted yesterday, April 1st by the Federal grand jury for corruption charges for using his office to obtain gifts (CNN, 2015).
Furthermore, power is what most people want, especially the politicians and those in power, because it gives them the authority and control over others who are beneath them. Power is money, weapons, political influence, power to build things, power to get things done at their own convenient time, power to intimidate others from what they aimed to accomplish or become in life. There has being a lot of problems caused by power, thinking that power is evil is somehow dicey, but we all know it is very liable to abuse. My own understanding is that, power should be disseminated in wise manner to avoid its misuse in wrong way. Power shouldn’t be a threat to anyone under normal circumstance, even though is a dangerous game it should be curtailed with caution. The misuse of power had brought down so many world leaders over the years. However, history will remember those who did not abuse the power of their offices. An example is Nelson Mandela who refused to avenge his unlawful detention when he became the President of South Africa. Scenario X
The Essay on Child Mother Interactions Left Alone
Child- Mother Interactions The time is 2: 00 p. m. The baby and the mom are sitting down on the bed, while the mom is feeding the baby a piece of a banana. The baby begins to play with the banana, instead of eating it. The mom then starts to sing with him, and he kind of sings along in his own way, she sits down, and he does too. This shows how he follows what she does. When she sings and claps ...
If an expectant mother drinks, smokes, takes drugs or fails to get proper rest, she may damage her unborn child. Therefore, if an expectant mother does these things and her child is born with a defect or ailment that can be traced to them, the mother should face criminal charges. Under normal circumstance, pregnant women should not be found doing any of these in first place, because is not only dangerous to her unborn child but to her as a mother. As a mother with four children, I think have experience so much when it comes to motherhood, the first three months of every pregnant women is a very delicate stage, because the unforeseen and unthinkable could happen, it is at this stage the “OBGYN” tells the expectant mothers to have adequate rest, abstain from lifting heavy stuffs, smoking, drinking, and doing drugs for the benefit of the mother and her unborn child against deformity and down syndrome.
I believe any mother found using drugs while pregnant should face criminal charges because she putting the life of her unborn child at risk. In the summer of last year, a law was passed in Tennessee that any woman who uses drugs during pregnancy can be charged with aggravated assault against her own unborn baby, and she could face up to 15 years in prison (Al JAZEERA, 2015).
The Essay on Mothers Past Women Mother Jandale China
Amy Tan is an author who uses the theme of Chinese-American life, focusing mainly on mother-daughter relationships, where the mother is an immigrant from China and the daughter is a thoroughly Americanized -yellow on the surface and white underneath. In her book, the mother tries to convey their rich history and legacy to her daughter, who is almost completely ignorant of their heritage, while the ...
An example is a recent case of 21 years old Montana woman, Casey Gloria Allen who was charged with “putting her unborn child at risk by taking illegal drugs” after a thorough investigation, she tested positive to “Benzodiazapines” THC, and opiates. She was 12 weeks pregnant and had also been on bail for previous charges of drug possession (Ressler, 2014).
Nevertheless, these women should at least have it at the back of mind that drug using is very dangerous and could critically destroy or damage the life of their unborn babies. Many children born with these defects end up with heart problems, liver damage, kidney failure, brain dead and various kinds of diseases because of their mother ignorant and unconcern acts. Have witnessed so many cases of these innocent children at work so many that, some of these women end up living their children in the hospital as soon as the doctor tells them their child is mentally or physically disabled, knowing quite well that they are the architect of their problems. I believe if all these women face criminal charges by putting them in jail for doing drugs, there might be a lower number of mental and physical disabilities among our young and innocent children, because the world without these kids is empty.
