Essay 2
The People have spoken and the results are in! As Americans I feel that all children under the age of 18 should have a universal health care system in place that everyone is entitled to. The fact that there are some many people out there without health insurance doesn’t mean that children should have to go without it regardless of social class. I believe that these key points will prove my point of view on the subject.
I do think that there should be a universal health care system for children under the age of 18, don’t you? I know that there is a program out there like that already but I feel that it should be more evolved. One of the ways that we could change this is by making something standard across the board for all people. I don’t think that people should have to pay for child health care the way that we pay for it now. I would like to think that one of my main supporting arguments is that fact that there is a law that is called “no child left behind” when it comes to education. The idea is that no child should receive any less of an education that another child. I think that health care should be the same way. I don’t think that just because one child’s parents have a job that offers x type of health insurance that another child shouldn’t receive that same amount and type of insurance because their parents for a different company that offers y type insurance. I think that it should be an industry standard for children, but people should still have the option to pay for better insurance, kind of like public schools versus private schools. Every child that lives in this country has the right to attend a public school, but as parents there is also a option to send you r child to a private school that you may feel is a better education than the one your child would get in a public school. Overall the things being taught in both types of school are the exact same thing, which would be the same as far as health care goes, but maybe you like the approach that the private school takes.
The Term Paper on Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people 2
1. There are many different legislations that can be related to children’s welfare, I will be talking about 6 main legislations. Children act 2006 was revised to include the Every Child Matters framework, there are 5 outcomes that the local authorities have to improve for all children and young adults up to the age of 20. The five outcomes are Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Achieve ...
Most of the answers that I got concerning whether there should a universal coverage for children pertained to if it were good enough. I only got one person who did not like the idea of universal coverage because they felt that the idea’s behind it were to sociological. Everybody else was for the idea as long as it met their standards for what they needed or if it didn’t that they would have they ability to pay for an upgraded package.
Another common answer that I got was that the kids should be covered no matter what because they did not choose the situation that they are in. These answers pertained to a question that I ask as why one child deserved to have better coverage than another child. When kids are born into the world, they have no say or control what their family’s social status will be. We can try to say that social class does not play a deciding role in opportunity that children get but we all know that is simply not the real world truth.
Another problem that I have is that I don’t think parents should have to pay for child health care the way they are paying for it now. I always hear politicians saying that we need to invest in our future as a country and make sure that children are getting every advantage they can, how is making sure they are properly taken care of not one of those ways. This tie’s into the fact that I don’t think any one child should get better care because of the amount that they pay. I think that is you set a standard, which is free to all people regardless of social class. I cannot sit here and say that I have the perfect solution to how we make this happen and I realize that it would not be free; somehow we would end up paying for it. I do not think that it needs to be much different from the way that welfare system works. One of the main problems I think that you would get with that is that it would probably have to be new tax people would have to pay, but hopefully they would not be opposed to paying it because they would actually get to use it. At the same time companies should have the opportunity to offer better health care that people would have to pay for if they choose to.
The Essay on The Negative Effects of Child Care on Child Development
... of care; health care, cleanliness care, appearance and education care. These forms of care are very necessary to the child especially if both parents are involved. Parent care will make the child ... children wants which makes them happy and comfortable. Children also require time to talk and play with their parents which makes them feel appreciated. Poor parenting makes the children ...
Now there are things that people could do to reduce the cost of what it would take to cover a child. One of the big ways is we need to start making sure that children are learning from a very young age that they are responsible for their bodies. They need to understanding that they need to make sure that they are taking good care of themselves, making the better choices about their bodies and overall health. As a society we need to be doing a better job of making sure that these choices are available for them to make. The biggest response that I got was that we need to make lunches at school better across the board. Make the choices healthier for the kids. There does not need to pop and food vending machines in schools. Giving them the idea that it is ok to consume these items is the worst thing that we can be doing right now. Another answer that I got is that there needs to be more classes that are gym related. I can remember when I got to high school I was only required to take one year of gym classes over the four years I was there. Also when it comes to cutting budgets right now a lot of time the gym classes are some of the ones that are hurt the most.
The biggest deterrent in make this idea become a reality is the cost of health care. Now that is a completely different subject in it of itself, but until we get a grip on the cost of health care we will never fix it. However the reality is that we need to improve health care across the board for children. Again this goes back to what I was saying in my last point but the best way to improve health care right now starts at home with the parents.
The Essay on Parents in child’s life
Parents are an integral part of any child’s life. They are his safe haven, his stepping stones and his personal cheerleaders. They are the people who create a person in the first place hence he/she owes their existence to them (Laura, 11). They give a child his name, his characteristics and his personality. They also give him both his negative and positive traits. So, in my opinion it is a ...
The parents admittedly so are by far the most responsible for how the child is raised and if parents are not teaching kids the proper ways to take care of themselves then how will they now. Sure there are a couple of classes that they take in school, but ultimately that falls on the parents plates. Being a father myself I understand that sometimes it can be hard to make the best decisions all the time but I feel as a society we need to be making better choices. A couple of examples of this are diet and exercise. As parents between the house, work and the children a lot of time and energy is used up and we end up taking the easy way out. When you have a hundred things to do at night, a lot of parents end taking the easy way out with dinner, be it fast food or something quick and easy that is not healthy at all. Another thing is that there is so much going on that a lot of the time that play time and exercise get cut out of the schedule. We need to make sure that kids get the proper amount of play time and exercise because kids do not understand that running around outside is actually really good for them. As parents we need to make sure that we are making a personal difference because they healthier a child is the less it cost to cover them health care wise.
In conclusion health care for kids needs to be universally covered. Hopefully the key points that I brought up were enough to sway you into thinking this way or at least opening your eye to a new idea of thinking. No one kid deserves more than another kid in the country, especially when it comes to health care and coverage.
