The purpose of this is to ensure that clarity and conciseness is maintained. It is a simple and faster way of communicating messages to all the stakeholders of the business. The benefits realized from this method include an enhanced business image and better persuasion of potential customers. But there is one potential drawback to the direct approach: the presentation ends up looking like it is more interested in sales than in anything else. It presents the ideas in a positive, clear and concise manner. It is used when the audience is expected to be either neutral or positive to the message.
It is used in formal reports and requires that the summary of findings, conclusions and recommendations be placed on the lead of the document for ease of identification (Bovee, ND) Persuasiveness The direct approach can be used as a means of persuading clients into the business and maintaining them. It is used to communicate messages directly, quickly and in a simple manner. It is a more convincing way of communicating business messages such as advertisements, memos, replies etc. It is easy to understand and thus the clients take less time to respond to messages. It is especially effective in displaying advertisements on newspapers, television, magazines and the internet (Brian 2009).

Maintains the business positive image Direct approach gives the business an opportunity to portray a positive image. The positive impression created has direct consequences to the business and the person communicated to.
Since information is treated as a commodity, it should be written in a direct approach to enhance its value. Managers, colleagues, and customers need to be communicated to in this manner since they are the stakeholders of the business (Azhar, 2009).
Drawback Although a lot of effort is put in the wording of the direct presentation, the presentation may still end up looking like it is interested in sales only. The direct approach may also not be constantly effective since presentations need to stay dynamic and attractive. Clients like an entertaining presentation, and this may be lost in the direct approach (Brian 2009).
Conclusion In business, the direct approach to presentation makes for a positive, persuasive and concise means of communication.
