There are different opinions and views within virtue ethics as to which virtues to follow and, more importantly, what makes a “Virtuous person” the contrast in opinions demonstrates the relativism of Virtue ethics. Some people do see Hitler as a role model but following in his path would logically go against the very definition of virtue and therefore virtue ethics would not work. Who are we to tell other cultures what virtues they should aspire to? Culture itself should be separated from the aspirations of virtues as we as human beings are not defined through our culture but through our acts. Once we are on the same level with other cultures and countries then surely it would become easier to progress in virtuous actions as if it is any other way then one would have to revolve his character/deeds around the culture he is in.
