War in Iraq War in Iraq has become another bloody page in American and world history. Many people compare it with the War in Vietnam. I think that such comparisons are false and forced. Each war has some common features and each of them differs greatly. There is no sense to compare wars but there is a great reason to avoid them especially when there are no chances for victory. I will explain to you my point of view later.
Now I want to say that not everyone was agreed with USA policy against the Iraq but nevertheless it was started. The idea of this military campaign belonged to George W. Bush, President of United States of America. If we want to understand (or just try to) we need to know his biography. It is always easier to understand somebody if you know what kind of person he is. Lets try to become acquainted with the President of United States. George W.
Bush is the 43rd President of the United States. He was sworn into office January 20, 2001. President Bush served for six years as the 46th Governor of the State of Texas, where he earned a reputation as a compassionate conservative who shaped public policy based on the principles of limited government, personal responsibility, strong families, and local control. (Biography of President George W. Bush).
He was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, and he grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. Later he received a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1968, and then served as an F-102 fighter pilot in the Texas Air National Guard.
The Essay on Anti War President Bush
Anti Ward you consider the war in Iraq a victory or another Vietnam? The Iraq war is a lot like Vietnam as I have read in many articles; promises of an easy victory and short occupation, and then a reversal, but it wasn't just the length of time the US spent in Vietnam that turned public opinion, nor was it the mass peace protests. It was a growing realizations (fed up by events like the ...
In 1975 George W. Bush received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Then there was began a career in the energy business in his native Midland, working on father’s successful 1988 presidential campaign, assembling the group of partners that purchased the Texas Rangers baseball franchise in 1989. On November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote he was elected Governor and become the first Governor in Texas history to be elected to consecutive four-year terms when he was re-elected on November 3, 1998, with 68.6 percent of the vote.(Biography of President George W. Bush).
George W. Bush married to Laura Welch Bush, a former teacher and librarian, and they have twin daughters, Barbara and Jenna and have two dogs Barney and Miss Beazley, and a cat India.
The tragedy of September 11th became the hardest test for a new President. In that hard moment he was with his people and in President Bush’s words, “in our grief and anger we have found our mission and our moment.” he declared war against terror. And the war in Iraq is the most prominent evidence of that memorable declaration. Not for once he spoke to his people but I chose the speech from March 17, 2003. Occasion for speech was extremely important: America declare war to Iraq. But I chose exactly that speech because President Bush’s explained his motives in it.
He also provides information against his future plans. The speech starts with an introduction addresses to citizens. After mentioning some events, which concerns the Persian Gulf War in 1991, begins the reasoning of new war. From the speech we get to know about peaceful directions of American diplomacy and the negative effect, which was achieved. President said, We have sent hundreds of weapons inspectors to oversee the disarmament of Iraq. Our good faith has not been returned. The Iraqi regime has used diplomacy as a ploy to gain time and advantage. President Bush declares his decision to be totally harmless to common people but he also insists on the force solving of the problem.

Peaceful efforts to disarm the Iraq regime have failed again and again because we are not dealing with peaceful men, said the President. George W. Bush states that Iraq emanates great danger for all peacifiul people in the world. Al Qaeda was helped in Iraq to obtain chemical, biological or nuclear weapons and one-day terrorists will use this weapon and kill millions of innocent people in America and other countries as well. President Bush points out The United States and other nations did nothing to deserve or invite this threat, but we will do everything to defeat it. Instead of drifting along toward tragedy, we will set a course toward safety.
President orders Saddam Hussein and his sons to leave the country under the threat of military conflict. Then he addresses to the Iraqs citizens and promises that there will be done everything for protection of common people including delivering the food and medicine. We will tear down the apparatus of terror and we will help you to build a new Iraq that is prosperous and free. Said President Bush. He reassures people that Americans understand the costs of conflict because we have paid them in the past. War has no certainty except the certainty of sacrifice.
(The Washington Post) It was very cognitive for me read this speech in the light of recent events. History teaches us that there is nothing we can foresee. The war in Iraq became an indisputable proof for this rule. The motives were peaceful, there was made everything for keeping given promises and still there were mistakes and there were victims. Free nations have a duty to defend our people by uniting against the violent, and tonight, as we have done before, America and our allies accept that responsibility said President Bush. And America accepts all the responsibility and that action I respect above the all. It is a lesson for everybody that we must response for our actions in spite of results. I promised later to explain my point of view toward the chances for victory.
I think that it is impossibly hard and useless to fight against the whole nation. Especially when this nation differs so much. Especially when their culture, religion, traditions differs so much. Especially on their own territory. The war in Vietnam became a good example for such wars. And I consider that similar conditions are the only common features between both of them. The greatest power of freedom is to overcome hatred and violence, and turn the creative gifts of men and women to the pursuits of peace.(G.
