The War of 1812 was largely due to the external forces that were beyond the control of the Canadian people. The war was caused by the Americans disapproval of the British arming the Amerindians and the new Republican Nationalism group in Congress. The Americans disaproved the thought the British were arming the Amerindians with weapons and ammunition.
