If your looking to start designing web pages you need to learn how to first. I reccommend html goodies book or even go to there web page… they will teach you what u want to know for making web pages… thats how i learned. YOu will need a host and probably a free host is what you should start with ex: geocities, angelfire, tripod, etc.
I went with quik-online. net webhosting and its working for me. Once you have a basic web page up you will need to get some hits to your site… Basically traffic… Submit your site to local search engines and then you will get some hits. You can even pay someone to make it popular.
My site became popular because i put downloads up and many people wanted them. I also run forums and they are popular. I use about 180 gigs of bandwith a month and you will too once ur site gets popular. You also have to get a domain name.
Godaddy. com gives them for a year for real cheap. you will get nameservers and they will direct it to your host. i believe its $8 for the domain name. My first site was made in geocities with there easy builders… i then had to work up from there.
If you need any further assistance a quick search in google can help you out. Just search for html help. There are alot of languages u can use in web design like html, dhtml, java, perl, php, vb, etc. That was just a few of them. Once your done building your website show it off to your friends and it will make you happy Have fun with building your very first website.
