Welch hall is the pioneer hall of Babcock University that is located at Ilishan remo, Ogun State. It is located in the north-western part of the institution and it is the very first male hall any visitor would encounter when looking for a male hall. The Babcock University Student Association (BUSA) building is located in front of the hall along side is the Welch activity hall (1) used for hall worships every Tuesdays and also used by the New Creation Worship Centre during Sabbath hours.

Welch hall is a square-like building, painted white with a front view of two story building and the other sides with a storey each. The hall has a reception which is the only entry and exit to the hall, located there is a guest room where visitors are welcomed. There are security men and hall administrators who attend to the visitors that come on visitation.
There are one hundred rooms in the hall with approximately six hundred students with an average of six students in each room of different department, each block is tagged letters A to I with toilets and bathroom at each ends of a block. A beautifully decorated centre which is called the activity hall (2), where students perform series of activities such as cooking, reading, relaxation and so on. Around the activity hall are ropes tied on vertical metal poles for drying cloths and taps where water is being fetched for various usages.
Each room has three twin-bunks with maximum of six students per room. The rooms also have six wardrobes for each student. The rooms have one reading table with four chairs, two sockets for plugging electric appliances, a ceiling fan, a fluorescent to brighten the room at night, and also window blinds for privacy.
