What can I do to recycle my waste and e-waste at home?
Introduction
A sustainable development is development which maintains the resources to benefit people presently and for future generation needs. Therefore recycling is a form of sustaining the resources and our environment. This essay will be discussing the ways which the writer can do to recycle waste and e-waste at home. The essay will be divided into two parts. The first part will deal with what the writer knows about recycle and the second part will deal with what the writer should do to recycle the waste that the writer generated within her household. Moreover, the essay willconclude by emphasizing the writer’smain points and providing recommendations towards recycling garbage and e-waste at home.
Recycling is to re-use potential waste material and reduce waste in the environment. To recycle is to use waste material into something useful or for new or similar product.Recycling is a way to prevent pollution (air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution) such as incinerations and landfills; and to prevent waste of material which is useful (Roper 2012: internet source).
Therefore, it is important to recycle our resources by doing so we will be able to accumulate more resources for ourselves and the future generation. Recycling is a way of re-using the waste material for same use or for something completely different from its original function, for example plastic bags are used to carry products but when it is nolonger stronger it can be used to make plastic hats, matt and bags, which, one can sell them to make a living out of it.
The Term Paper on Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in Indonesian School at a Glance
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION A. Abstract We are astronauts—all of us. We ride a spaceship called Earth on its endless journey around the sun. This ship of ours is blessed with life-support systems so ingenious that they are self-renewing, so massive that they can supply the needs of billions. Unfortunately for centuries we have taken them for granted, considering their capacity limitless. At last we ...
There are various kinds of information available about recycling which are made visible to the public through different forms of media for example television adverts about recycling. The information that is available about recycling is that it can help people and save the environment as well for future generation such as: recycling will help to reduce level of global warming and reduce pollution, recycling reduces waste products in landfills, recycling serves the earth for example as paper comes from trees this many trees are being cut down just to produce paper, thereby recycling it, it will help to lessen the number of trees that are cut down (Roper 2012: internet source) . There associations such as E-waste Association of South Africa and Collect-a-Cancampaigns, which promote recycling of cans. This information about recycle it found in newspapers, the internet, and other sources of media.
E-waste is electronic waste which contains both valuable recyclable materials as well as hazardous material like metals, glass, and plastic which it may be used to create new products; which decrease the need to mine the earth for raw material (for example printer, telephone and microwave).
It is important to recycle e-waste because it is a fast growing form toxic waste in the world. It saves the landfills space and prevents toxic chemicals, carcinogens and heavy metals (such as Zinc, Mercury, and Chromium, lead, dioxins and brominated flame retardants) from leaking into the air, water, and soil which will reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, save resources by cutting down fewer raw material from the earth. Therefore, e-waste is special in this regard because the variety of materials including the mental contained in the electronic devices can be recovered for future use. E-waste recycling it contributes to economic growth by means of creating jobs for professional recyclers and it creates new markets for valuable components that are dismantled (Bratcher 2012: internet source).

... led to renewed emphasis on recycling since the late 1960's. Recycled wastes provide materials for a variety of products. ... of the waste materials that people generate. People produce gaseous waste, such as carbon monoxide from cars; liquid waste, such as ... recycled materials include metals, glass, and paper. Waste reduction is the process of producing less waste. It makes it possible for us to generate more resources for different use such as the element Mercury that is generated from batteries in mobile phone it is used to make tablets for man human system.
In my household I recycle my waste by separating all waste material then take it to my neighborhood recycling station. For the e-waste that I generate in my household such as small household appliances (for example hair dryer, kettle, and iron) I fix it them and sell them as second hand equipment. The large house appliances (such as washing machines, refrigerators and television) I send it to recycle center because they can disassemble those electronic waste to re-use also give scrap collectors who earn an income by reclaiming waste and collecting scraped electronic waste, doing so I help them to make a living. As for the telecommunication equipment that I generate (such as mobile phone, fax, head sets, cables and moderns) I donate them to recycle center’s or bring them school to organizations like SIFE organization who find use of these material and create something good out of. E-waste recycle is important because it benefit the environment socially and economically.
Conclusion
In conclusion, recycling waste and e-waste it is important because at the end of the day it benefit as human beings. Recycle it’s a way in which we can sustain our environment and our resources in order the next future generation will be able to generate resources for themselves. Through this assignment within my household I have generated low level of waste because I recycled the recyclable material I have generated such as plastic bags, containers and glass bottles by means of re-using that material after being used for their original use this assignment helped my household because during this experience the dustbin was no longer filled up by waste and we no longer receive complains from PIKIITUP workers; also helped me to save money by re-using the waste material I generated such plastic water bottle I reduce the cold-drink plastic bottles by using them as water bottles.Recycle waste and e-waste it contributes in saving energy and the planet earth from global warming which is a huge problem were facing and will make the environment we live in to be unsustainable. Furthermore, the laws implemented about recycling and respect places restricted to be dump in, such as no dumpingplaces especially in our local dams and rivers because that waste have a negative effect to the environment. Therefore, from this assignment I learned that there is no such thing as waste because anything can be recycled it may not be for its original use but it can be recycled. Recycling it starts with me as an individual before I can spread the word of recycling.
