What Current World Issue Do You Believe Raises Concern With Regard To Justice Or Ethical Behavior? The concept of post-modern world replaces the notion of abstract philosophic idea, as the main historical driving force, with notion of economical profit. Nevertheless, every political event is first thought of in terms of ethics. For example, if one country attacks its neighbor, we want to know whether such attack was justified, even though that every experienced politician knows that there is no concept of justice in world politics. Napoleon once said: The God is on the side of bigger battalions. Yet, the winner also strives for nothing less but rewriting the history, making its cause to appear justified from the moral point of view. Therefore, it is a sign of bad taste explaining political events in terms of everlasting struggle between good and evil.
Just as United States, Russia declared itself being in war with international terrorism. Yet, this concept is little too vague when it comes for the smart bomb hitting a precise target. Who falls under description of terrorist? The majority of Muslims terrorist only become such by night – by day theyre peasants. Does it mean that they can only be bombed at night? This is purely ethical question The war in Chechnya is one of the finest examples of conflict-resolution concepts utter failure to reach its objectives. The main reason for this is that world powers want to maintain status quo in international politics, while proclaiming that every nation on Earth has the right to strive for independence. These two principles contradict each other, on one hand UN wants contemporary international borders to stay intact on the other, it practices the policy of direct involvement in internal affairs of independent countries, like it happened in Yugoslavia in 1998. The allegations of Russian forces using chemical weapons in Chechnya were being rejected by Western powers that wanted to preserve a some kind of stability in this country. In 1999 hundred thousands Russian troops enter Chechnya again. This time they were able to seize much of a country, yet resistance continues in the mountainous regions.

Despite Russian claims that the republic is now pacified, Russian authorities are still being attacked on almost daily basis. Rebels have now switched to hit and run and terror tactics There are two ways Russia can deal with this problem whether it simply physically exterminates Chechens or reconsiders its geopolitical priorities. According to recent surveys, 80% of Russians are strongly in favor of the first scenario. Still, the cheer stupidity of Russians is best shown in the fact that, though they deploy policy of physical genocide in Chechnya, Chechens are still not being deprived of Russian citizenship. This allows them to freely move around the country and organize terrorist attacks. Russians might be able to keep their empire but only at the cost of becoming the second-class citizens in it. The best thing to do for Russian government in this situation is to grant Chechnya independence after Russia is being reorganized in unitary state, where ethnic minorities wont even have the elementary human rights, much less to aspire for independence. Similar measures are being taken by the few states in America, where Muslims were ordered to report to police twice a week, after attacks of 9/11. During the war on terror, all talks about ethics and justice must cease until the time when problem is being decisively dealt with.
. Russia needs to subdue Chechnya otherwise itll fall apart like a card house, given the fact that the form of this country is Federation. It raises many ethical concerns but only for as long as problem exists As a college student, Im being taught to use logical approach, while analyzing political issues. Once this technique is being applied, itll appear that it is much more ethical and moral for Russians to use drastic measures to stump out resistance in Chechnya, then allowing this conflict to continue.
