The interest of motorcycles came to me when I was just a child, but it wasnt till now that I decided to purchase my first motorcycle. I decided to shop around so that I wouldnt have to choose the first bike I saw. It was going to be decided considering engine size, color, make and, model. The first bike I came up with was the Suzuki Katana, I liked the bike because of the color seat and size of the outer frame, but the size of the engine was a little small for me so I decided to keep looking. The next bike I saw was a Kawasaki Ninja, I first saw this bike on the Internet which were I did most of my research. They had various styles of motorcycles, but the one that really caught my eye was the Ninja and their colors were ok, but the engines were to big and as the engine got smaller the bike got uglier, so I decided to go to one more dealer. When I got to the Honda dealer my eyes just went crazy, not just for the prices on the bikes but the colors, the sizes, and the styles that each and every one presented to the public.
My next step was to see what I was going to take to get one of those bikes in my garage, so I went up to the sales Rep. and asked him what the price was on the Honda Super Hawk 996 so he gave me the price and the specs that I needed and I went home to think about it. When I got home I told my mother about the bike and that I was considering in buying the motorcycle, at first my mother didnt approve the idea. I started to explain why a motorcycle would be a good idea, I told her that because I was in college I wouldnt have to spend so much money on gasoline and parts, so thats when she decided that it was ok with her. I returned the next day and told the sales man that I wanted to purchase the motorcycle thats when he said that they had to run a credit check in order to see if they were going to be able to sell me the bike. I got the credit check back and they said that my credit was good but I didnt have enough credit history, so they couldnt really help unless I had half of the bikes price as a down payment, so they said, either you get the money or you get a co-signer. I called my cousin to ask if he would co-sign for me, I thought that because he liked racing he would sign for me, but man was I wrong.

He said that it was dangerous for me, and that he wouldnt help me out, so I said screw him Im going to ask my godfather. I called my godfather the next day. The reason I called my godfather was because he was a rebel back in the fifties, do that when I did ask him for the favor he said it was ok with him. We went to the dealer the next day and introduced my relative to the Rep. I showed the bike to my godfather, he liked it very much. He said that I better let him ride it when I do get it or I wont get it at all.
I said sure, at that moment I was willing to grant him at least that. That same day road off on a new Honda Super Hawk 996 and I couldnt be happier. Theres one thing you have to remember, and its that you have to be on time with your payments. If youre late it can reflect not only on your credit, but it also reflects worst on your co-signers credit as well. So if you do buy a motorcycle or any other type of motor vehicle, I guess the best thing you can do is try to get a bigger down payment or try to pay for it in cash. When you do decide to buy make sure its something you like. Make sure it doesnt become a burden because youll just end up with something you didnt like to begin with.
