Who Moved My Cheese? Who Moved My Cheese? Is a simple story of four characters that live in a maze and are constantly looking for cheese. Two of the four characters are Hem and Haw, who are little people about the size of mice, they are complex people just like humans. They rely on their emotions, and experience in life to make achievements, but also like humans they can become very comfortable and be oblivious to what is happening around them. The other two characters Sniff and Scurry, are mice. They rely more on instinct and their senses to conduct everyday life. Although they are simple minded and not very smart, they do not get hung up emotionally when things work against them.
They have the power of adaptation, witch allows them continually maintain a productive life no matter how things change around them. ‘THE CHEESE’ represents different things to different people. It is a metaphor for what keeps you going, and what makes you happy. To some people ‘THE CHEESE’ is money, to others it is their job, and to some it is just being able to wake up and be happy that you have a good life, and enjoy living it. When I read this book I had to stop and think ‘WHAT’S MY CHEESE’ and I could not help but to wander in my reading, ‘HOW CAN I GET SOME CHEESE’.
As I really began to analyze my life a little more I realized that I had more than one ‘Cheese’ and all of my ‘Cheese’s’ have been moved, sometimes more than once. All of this thinking made me realize what my favorite ‘cheeses’ were, my friends and family, my job, my relationship with my girlfriend, and my financial situation. That also made me think of how I have reacted when things have changed in my life, I saw that I had different changes but I had generally reacted to them all in the same way. When I was growing up as a child my father was an Army officer, and we moved to a different post every three years. When you are young child this changes your whole world, I lived in rural Louisiana, out west in New Mexico, in the plains of Oklahoma, the coast of Florida, and even overseas in the country of Germany. These are all different places with different sub-cultures, different people.
The Term Paper on Catcher In The Rye Holden Life People
Part one: 1. Holden s Hunting cap: His hat is something that makes him stand out from the crowd and society. To Holden, wearing his hat says that he s not going to be like all the rest of the phonies. It s also something that he really likes and he constantly talks about it being different. On page 22 he refers to his hat as a people shooting hat, meaning he shoots people down when he wears it ...
At that time in my life my favorite ‘cheese’ was my friends, and every few years my ‘cheese’ would get moved. I learned how to get used to it because I had no real control of it, and as a result I am very good at meeting people and making new friends. After reading this book I think that I reacted to all my changes like ‘Sniff’ and ‘Scurry’. I was always ready to move on, because I knew that my friends where I lived would not be there when I moved. I have reacted to all of my ‘cheese relocations’ in the same way. I always try to be aware of what is going on around me I try to ‘read the handwriting on the wall’.
I have found the hardest part is to find my ‘cheese’ once it has moved, but I realize the smartest thing you can do is to move on. ‘Find new cheese’ it is the only way to live an emotionally healthy life.
