When you think about culture, what do you think of? Beliefs? Values? Well I think of what makes a person who they are, what defines them as a person. There are so many different cultures in the world, some are similar and others are completely different in every way, the list is never ending, but why? Why are there so many cultures that exist? Culture is who you are as a person and is based on similar beliefs between you and others. When you actually think about it it’s a way that connects you to everyone in the whole world on a personal level. So why are there so many cultures if we are all the same? When you look at all the people that you see every day and actually think about all of the differences that you have with these people it makes you wonder how it all happened. How did we go from being the same people and thinking about everything the same way to being completely different and having our own thoughts and opinions? People try to be as different from everybody else as they can, It’s like a never ending race to be the most different, but in the end we all end up as the same people, so how is it even possible that there are so many differences yet we are the same? I interviewed teachers, and found that most of them said about the same thing when answering the questions that I had. It was like they all teamed up before I interviewed them and went over what their answers to my questions were going to be. This shows how similar we all really are. When I was reading the interviews I was disagreeing with all of the answers that they teachers had written.

They were saying things like how they don’t think that they are hypocrites, and how they think they are above students in every way. I think that teachers should be above students educationally but not socially. When I saw that all of the teachers were saying the same thing during all of the interviews I thought that they weren’t really being honest with me, and possibly were saying these things because they wanted to set a good example for me, and they knew that I would most likely be sharing the information they gave me with other people and/or possibly writing an exploratory essay about why there are so many different cultures.
