Three reasons why I chose Southwest.
There are many reasons why a student would chose to go to Southwest. I chose Southwest because they make it affordable for a student who could not afford a four year university. Southwest is also only fifteen minutes away from my where I live. Therefore, I am able to live from home. Also, Southwest offers the classes that I need to take that goes towards my degree.
The first reason I choose Southwest community college is because it is affordable. Many teenagers have taken on the responsibility of living on their own. This means that they have their own bills to pay for. Money is hard to come by and college is not cheap. Southwest offers many financial options and scholarships for students. Four year colleges and universities tuition can cost up to forty thousand dollars, but at Southwest you can take two years of college that will equal up to or even less than a year at a four year university. A lot of colleges that teenagers will attend have to pay for parking.
They will have to pay up to 138 dollars or up, but at Southwest its free of charge. The second reason I chose to attend Southwest Community College is because it is closer to my home. I am big on seeing family, so it made it easier for me to stay closer to see all of them. Not only me, but most people who attend Southwest community college have jobs can not just up and quite to go and get a further education at a four year university. At Southwest it makes it easier for teenagers and adults that have part time and also full time jobs to get a degree.
The Coursework on My Graduate Program Is Not Simply a Continuation of Our College Years
My graduate program is not simply a continuation of our college years Obviously, my current life in this new semester is not simply a continuation of my undergraduate program for there are essential differences in their cultivating goals and learning motivations. Prior to be a first-year graduate student in Electronic Engineering in the University of Chinese academy of science, I received a dual ...
I live at home still, but most people out of high school still live at home as well. By attending Southwest it is only fifteen minutes from my house to the college, so it really does not make me have to get an apartment closer to it. At Southwest it really makes spending the smaller holidays with your loved ones easy. Yes, I get out for major holidays, but I have elderly family that will not be here forever, so it gives me the pleasure of spending time with them.
The third reason I chose to attend Southwest Virginia Community College is because I can get my degree in the field I desire to master in. I am going into the field of Criminal Justice and the classes at Southwest make it to where I can get my Associates degree in two years. At universities you can walk into class and it will be over crowded, which can make it hard for people to learn. At Southwest you will have probably a max of twenty or more people in class and still be able to ask your professor anything you want. A lot of my ADJ instructors are former law enforcement or active law enforcement personal, so they can tell about their experience on the job.
At major colleges the professors there have not even been one day on duty, so to me thats a little hard to teach you what its like. In the majority of my classes I take notes or I am having a hands on experience instead of having my head in the book the whole time. The ups about Community college is that most of your credits if not all will transfer to most four year colleges or university.
In todays economy money is tight and people are cheap. Southwest helps young adults manage money while obtaining an education of their dreams. People say home is where the heart is, Southwest community college is close to where many of its students live. Many students benefit from the colleges location. Why go to a four year university when you can get the same education by experienced professors right at home. Southwest has many advantages over a four year university, I have listed just a few. I would chose Southwest over any four year university any day of the week.
