The definition of engineering is the branch of science and technology concerned with the design, building, creating, and use of engines, machines, and structures. It is a profession where the forces of nature are directed to the benefit of mankind. I want to discover that benefit, I want to change the world for the better, and that is why I want to be an engineer. An ocean engineer specifically. I feel that the ocean is just a large pool full of possibilities, there are uncharted waters and new discoveries that still await, and that excites me. I want to be a part of the next chapter of technology, where humans use the sea in a partnership in order to gain more for us without damaging the delicate ecosystem below the waters. I think this is the largest challenge we may face, but I am ready and willing to conquer it.
I feel that, just as in anything else, one’s attitude is a huge part of what they are going in to. It is important to love what you do, and do what you love which is why I find comfort in my decision of becoming an engineer. This will not be a boring job, new obstacles will present themselves every day and that will definitely keep things interesting; but as an engineer, as a mathematician, and as a problem solver, I think I can handle that. I chose engineering because I excel at mathematics and science courses and I have a knack for problem solving. This is essentially what an engineer does: employ science and math for practical problem solving. I love the objectivity of it. There is usually one right answer as far testing goes, though admittedly there may be many ways to get there. I find beauty in that.
The Essay on Electrical Engineer Science Field Work
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER DESCRIPTION 'Electrical engineers design, and evaluate the manufacture, testing, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic components, equipment and systems.' ; 1 Electrical engineers work with an array of equipment and machinery, such as transformers, switches, electrical appliances and types of generators, and are considered in fields involving ...
There are of course many different ways to design almost anything. Though it may be more than you wanted to hear, it’s really the beauty that you encounter when you study science and mathematics that inspires me. I have to confess I have no experience working in the field yet. I am only pursuing a degree in ocean engineering. I may find that I hate working as an engineer, but I simply love the harmony you can discover when you inspect the inner working of this world and the mathematical language and models with which we have tried to describe it. It will require a lot of work and dedication- those however are two qualities that I happen to possess. The things that are easy to come by are never as good as the ones you have to work for; that is why I am so set on doing what some people believe to be unthinkable. I believe that I have the motivation, commitment and determination to succeed. I cannot imagine going into a different field of study when this is what I am passionate about. These reasons and personal attributes are what stimulate my interest in ocean engineering.
