Women in Sports, the Paradigm Shift from Taken-for-Granted to Critical Thinking Doctor Chandler Gilman once said, “In women, inferiority of the locomotive apparatus of physical labour, is apparent in all parts… The brain is both absolutely and relatively smaller than in men. Women have an abundant. Sports are a very important part of the American society. Within sports heroes are made, goals are set and dreams are lived. The media makes all these things possible by creating publicity for the rising stars of today.
Within society today, the media has downplayed the role of the woman within sports. Should women be in Combat? I say no, during the course of this paper I will elaborate on my option as well as that of other writers, philosophers, doctors, politicians and other members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America. For thousands of years women have struggled to take part in athletics. They have fought many battles to overcome this struggle and are just now starting to break through the walls that stood in their way before.
Often, the thought of engaging in sports has been equated with the state of being in good mental health. Through many different studies it has been proven that playing sports has a psychologically beneficial impact on women.
