World View Paper We live in post-industrial era, where great many classical definitions of socio-political activity had been altered to a large degree. When we talk of what defines ones worldview, it needs to be remembered that such view is usually being formed gradually, through process of upbringing. Many factors play big role in how people become what they are, the most important of them are: ones cultural background, his social status and intellectual level. I began to form my distinctive outlook on world in very young age. What prompted me to do this was the fact that I always felt like there is a difference between what even might look on the surface and the real driving forces behind it. It became clear to me that most of those people, who promote public morality, were driven by economical reasons alone.
This, in its turn, made to doubt the validity of any political or philosophical statement, which is based on religious doctrine. My worldviews distinctive feature is that it cant be considered politically correct. Many moralistic watchdogs in our society try to make it a crime for individual to freely express his thoughts. When everybody silent, its easier to instill people with false ideas and make them automatically susceptible to psychological manipulations. The most important factor about how I view the world is my strong attachment to my ethnical roots. Im half French and half Portuguese, yet with all due respect to my ancestors, Im the American and everything else is secondary. Im proud to be white and I certainly dont feel any historical guilt over the fact that White people used exploit Black slaves labor long time ago. As Bart Simpson would say – I didnt do it.
The Term Paper on The Scientific Revolution: The Medieval World View
A world-view is a composite of several interpretive models through which the individual establishes his or her identity relative to everything else in the universe. In the broadest of terms, any world-view is made up of four component elements. In the first of these components, which can be designated the Theological element, man tries to define himself in relation to the transcendent. Questions ...
One of the greatest Black writers Booker T. Washington once said: The individual who can do something that the world wants done will, in the end, make his way regardless of his race. I think that much debated issue of racism is like a rush it will never heal as long as people keep on constantly scratching it. Im an atheist and it appears very clear to me that the poison of Christianity and Islam does great deal of harm to Americans. It is a commonly accepted in Western countries to have Church and State separated. Yet, the morality that our social policies are based upon, have its roots in Christianity an outdated religion of senile people. Why do they have the right to impose their views on those who have the right for not even listening to their nonsense, according to Constitution? There are three arguments against banning Christianity from our social institutions that moralists and Bible thumpers never get tired of feeding us with: corruption of youth, general evilness of atheists and Jesus being against it up on the sky….
Every time Im confronted with such people, I give them following contra-arguments:: there is no greater corrupting power in the world that Christianity itself (Bible was introduced to Natives first – next came alcohol), general evilness of Christianity (Christians needs to be reminded the history of Inquisition), Jesus was also against burying dead bodies and washing hands before eating food My ethical principles are based on my inner intuition of what is right and what is wrong. Being an atheist doesnt make being an immoral person quite contrary. The recent studies show that were genetically predestined to a certain mode of behavior (Bell Curve), in another words if individual is inclined to become drug addict, for example, it will inevitably happen, regardless of his social status and the way he was being brought up. This is not an issue of morality but rather biology. I consider myself being quite politically active. My parents were the ones to make me interested in politics, as they continuously argued with each other over this topic.
The Essay on What Makes Art Art
What Makes Art, Art? Art can be so many forms including pictures, sculptures, architecture, and poetry. Art is indefinite, expressive expression and a medium used by people so they can express their ideas, fears, and their joy’s. Artist takes the experience of life and translates them into a visual object, shapes, colors, and sizes for others to see and to enjoy. As a casual observer of art, one ...
That is not to say that Im a member or any political party, yet I believe that people need to be aware to whats going on in their own country. Our founding fathers charged regular citizens with keeping an eye on our politicians, so they could never become too crooked. More and more people start to forget that the point of having a government is that it can serve people and not the other way around. Despite that we are taught to appreciate modern art in all its forms, I think that many famous paintings of twentieth century are nothing but artistic expressions of mentally challenged people. This, of course, makes them interesting as objects of study, but they can never be counted among really great classical works of art. The Black Square of Malevich is the best example. When people look upon this painting, they see nothing but a black square, yet theyre too ashamed to admit that they cant see any hidden meaning behind it so they say its a work of genius I began to think so after I visited The Exhibition of Post-Industrial Art, when I was in Los-Angeles in 1998.
My parents taught me to be very appreciative of surrounding nature. I think that keeping our environment clean is one of the most important issues that our society deals with. If we destroy our forests, lakes and rivers than there wont be much left to argue about. In my opinion, people of all ethnical backgrounds need to unite when it comes to preserving the nature. There should not be made any exceptions, like Natives in Canada, who can freely hunt whales, despite the fact that this is a forbidden practice even in such countries as Japan and Iceland. My worldview gives me an answer to why America was being attacked on 9/11. It happened because of its continuous support of Israel, even though there are no vital American interests in this region. Israel is only the country that practices racial apartheid, how come there are no bleeding hearts around the world because of that, like it used to be when economical sanctions were imposed on South Africa in 1980? When I ask these questions out loud, people just look behind their backs, if there was a Big Brother watching.
Once we declared war on terror, might as well go after the root of the problem, instead of fighting the consequences. Unfortunately, George Bush is now being reelected, so we likely to expect an increase of national terrorist paranoia, which will lead to government trying even harder to take away from Americans what made this nation great their civil rights and freedoms. To conclude this, it has to be also mentioned that my worldview is still being in transition. This is because I gain more knowledge, so every once in a while I need to make adjustments to my perception of world. For example, I used to think that majority Muslims are nothing but a bunch of conspiring terrorists that America simply need to send back to where they came from. Yet, as time passed, I realized that there are many decent people among them too. My worldview is heavily affected by my life experiences.
The Essay on American Life America People One Time
America has had its times of despair and advances but through it all we have learned new ways, cultures, and overall advancements in life. Throughout the literatures we were given to read and analyze, there were many things about American life that not only related to now but also showed us lessons learned and conflicts repeated through time. To myself and maybe others, the pieces presented to me ...
I started to doubt the validity of Christianity when I was a kid. One time I prayed God for my mom to buy me a toy, which I really wanted. But, of course, it didnt work. Having an analytical type of mind, brought me to conclusion that even if there is God, hes not worthy to be prayed for, since he doesnt care about his Gods duties answering peoples prayers. This marks the time when I became skeptical of every philosophical doctrine, which is based on Christian morality. The other time I talked to a refugee from Palestine, who told me an eyewitness account of what is really happening on Palestinian territories, occupied by Israel.
After this I became opposed to our government supporting Israel. This also prompted me to study the history of this conflict. I became aware that there are other points of view about this, besides the politically correct ones. The main principles, upon which my worldview is based, remained the same. The most important of them is my belief that justice will triumph in the end. I say so because my cultural and racial background doesnt leave me any other option than being optimist.
I think that my worldviews will always be marked with this, even though they might change as time goes by. The other cornerstones are: idealism (I believe that there are greater causes to serve than ones own comfort), intelligence (I can effectively argue my point of view because I always operate with facts when I need to prove anything), sentimentalism (Most of time Im being in observative mood) and logic. To conclude this I might just say that Im a white American, an atheist and a patriot. Still, there is a big difference between talking and acting. Only the practical activity in defending own worldview prospective gives person the right to say that such worldview is important to him. This paper is still not quite as i want it, can this be revised once more.
The paper is about how you have come to your worldview. You have a particular perspective of the world, a perspective that governs all that you do, a perspective that makes who you are.
The Term Paper on Changing Perspective Began As A God
Change is an ongoing process that involves the alternation of one state to another. However, the way individuals respond to that change is largely determined by their perspective, of how they see and understand things as well as their underlining psychological, social and ideological constructions. The process of change may be spontaneous and it involves pre-change, catalyst and outcomes. In ...
What is it? Examine your life, how have you come to this perspective. What principle or principles form this perspective and where are they derived from?
These are what your essay is supposed to answer. That means writing a lot of "I’, "me" or "my" as part of your essay. Nowadays, the importance of social factor in forming persons opinions is often exaggerated. Basically, we are told that only economical circumstances are the ones that need to be considered when ones behavioral pattern is being discussed. Were being told to think that everybody are equal and if someone commits child molesting act, for example, he cant be really held accountable for this because thats what society caused him to be. In my opinion, explaining everything by purely materialistic terms is nothing but Marxism. As George Orwell once said: Everybody are equal, but pigs are the most equal of all.
