Do family problems affect children from reaching full potential? It all starts on your definition of potential or goals. Also does it affect the way young boys and girls grow up and treat each other growing up? Does not having a father in a child’s life impact that child’s future? Men/fathers
I believe that a boy or young man growing up needs a father. Don’t get me wrong a child with only a mother throughout they life can overcome some obstacles but not most. I mean having uncles and grandfathers can help but I believe you need that dad figure in your life. A mother can teach you manners, how to act in certain places and a lot more but a father shows you how to be a man. All fathers aren’t men though; some men are not responsible and disrespect their wife. Family problems can vary from a wide range of how the parents were raised; it’s a reoccurring cycle in my eyes. What I mean by that is if a boy experienced his father beat his mother, it’s a chance he will beat his wife and if they have a child that child might see that and do it. Or maybe if a boy never seen his father he might not be around his child to see him develop or grow up which goes into a child needing to be taught to be a man.
Some fathers can teach a boy how to be strong, respectful, and a provider for a family, but we don’t have too many of those fathers in today’s society especially in the black community. If men would step up and be a father and show respect to the women in their life things would change. Men in the family show the boys to respect and teach the boys how to go about courting a women or a young lady, and they can show their little girls how they should be treated by young men and how they should approach you as a young lady. Also teach young ladies how to uphold yourself as a young lady, you don’t have to wear revealing clothing to get attention, cause that attention you looking for goes towards those young men that will treat you how you look. I see this more in black families than in Asian or white families. This also takes place in Latin families, even though they are usually surrounded by family they still have family problems also, and I’m talking about all ethnic groups.

Women/mothers
I say kudos to single parent mothers that are on the right path. What I mean by on the right path is having a job or going to school and still taking care of your child and showing them good morals and respect towards other people. Women that depend on food stamps and government aid I think are getting over on the government and not taking responsibility. Not all mothers are like that some women have blessings or accidents getting pregnant but take care of business. The mothers that just pop kids out one by one are looking for money and a quick fix for money and problems.
They sit up in the house dealing with all these kids and can’t watch them all. They either sit them in front of the TV and let the schools try to teach them and figure out the child’s problems. Don’t help them with homework and some let them play outside without supervision. No supervision can lead to many of things like gang involvement or hanging with kids that also in the same boat as them but could have worse parents that show them the wrong thing, that’s what they mean by a product of your environment. Most them might have men in and out the house, so a young lady might think that’s what she needs to do growing up is to have many men in and out her life. Usually that leads to high pregnancy and like I said early in the paper it’s a cycle. I feel like if the cycle is broken and remade or started a new cycle we wouldn’t see these things in our society.
The Essay on Parents in child’s life
Parents are an integral part of any child’s life. They are his safe haven, his stepping stones and his personal cheerleaders. They are the people who create a person in the first place hence he/she owes their existence to them (Laura, 11). They give a child his name, his characteristics and his personality. They also give him both his negative and positive traits. So, in my opinion it is a ...
Mothers or fathers not being in a child’s life full time or not pay attention to a child’s needs can make them not be to their full potential. A kid could really be good and smart at a subject but only the teacher would know, if the parents aren’t pay attention to that child and push him towards a certain goal he could be lost in the world. Goals make a person feel complete or make them feel like they did something important in their life. I see families that push their kids to do well in school and get help at certain subjects or activities. It shouldn’t just take the school to push or help the kid to achieve a goal or dream; it should be the parents or parent. I believe kids need praise or acknowledgement to strive and be happy within a family structure. Family is the importance in everyone’s life; problems in the family just keep things going bad in a cycle.
I went to a site and got the population of normal society and the society by people in prison. Whites are 66% as population and 34% in prison, Blacks are 13% as population and 40% in prison, Latinos are 15% as population and 20% in prison. They said that black people are more in prison than anybody for Drugs and weapon charges.
