A time laps camera will pick up all the action in 9 minutes. ‘Here is the Parker Morris Building standing. Second picture, the building at an 80 degree angle. Then a 70 degree angle. The building is at a 45 degree angle in the fourth picture skeleton starts to give and the tower gets a slight arch to it.
The last shot, the tower, all one-hundred ninety- one floors, will slam down on the national museum which is Tyler’s real target.’ And this is where our book beings. We examine a man. A man given no name. As the reader we know him only as the narrator. This is a normal every day man. We see his kind a thousand times a day in the business district of any city.

He wants a world were men can climb the side of the Sears Tower on vines. Where you can hunt wild elk on Broadway Av. This whole while our narrator has been along for the ride.
He has helped Tyler render fat to make soap for the Paper Street Soap Company. He has no clue what Tyler is doing any more. He hardly sees Tyler and the ‘space monkeys’ as they are called wander around the house. Tending to the garden, rendering fat, and doing Tyler’s homework assignments. The narrator feels lost and betrayed. He and Tyler started Fight Club, but now Tyler is gone all the space monkeys are running around the house and he is lost.
He finds Tyler. He finds him when he wanders into a bar and the bartender says to him ‘Welcome back Mr. Durden.’ Slowly at first then the flood gates in his mind open and he sees that he is Tyler Durden. Tyler is the other half of his personality. That first night after his apartment was gone it was his own ear he was hitting. And now he was shoving a gun into his own mouth on top of the Parker Morris Building while Tyler speaks; and the whole building is wired with explosives.
I wont tell you how the book ends. I will let you see that for yourself should you ever read the book. It is far better than what I have hear but this is none the less the story. This book has power. This is what pushes the weak minded over the limit. This is what people blame for Columbine.
It is a dark, dark, dark book. If you open the pages I must warn you. Get ready for a pretty wild ride.
