Goal setting and time management
Introduction
With anything in life one has to set goals and management ones time well. This is not always an easy task. When one does not set goals or manage ones time well one can start to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. Goals can be small or large. Goals can range from ones personal life to ones professional life. No matter what range of goals one set one has to make sure that the goals are met in a timely manner. One should not make ones goals to hard. All goals should be obtainable for the individual that the goals were set for. In this essay one will discuss ones professional goals, ones academic goals as well as ones personal goals. One will also discuss ones time management, and how time management affects ones goals.
Three professional goals, three personal goals and three academic goals
In ones profession goal setting sometimes can be difficult. The first professional goal one has is to graduate with ones degree. The second professional goal one has is to get a job that pertains to ones degree within six months after graduation. The last professional goal one has is to take the steps to open one’s own business. When it comes to one’s personal goals the first personal goal would be to lose 10 pounds in a month. The second personal goal would be to take the steps to own a home in two years, and the third personal goal would be to not procrastinate when it comes to getting things done. With academics ones first goal would be to do my homework on time, the second would be to participate more in the discussions, and the third would be to learn as much as possible.

Cohesive vision statements

In ones professional and academic life one has a cohesive vision to graduate in two year. One will obtain a job pertaining to ones degree within six months after graduation. This month one will participate more in the classroom discussions.
How daily activities support ones goals
On a daily bases one’s day is pretty busy. One has to do a lot of walking and dealing with other individuals. With one having to do so much walking one will be able to reach ones goal of losing ten pounds in a month. With one having to deal with other individuals one will be able to communicate with individuals that can assist one with taking the steps to own one’s home. Through everything one does in a day one still has to take a couple of hours to do homework. This will help one to achieve ones goal of graduating in two years.
How daily activities do not support goals
Some of the things one has to do throughout the day will not help one get any closer to achieving ones goals. For example driving one’s clients to and from work, grocery shopping. Cooking and cleaning does not help one to get closer to ones goals. Doing laundry and playing ones PS3 also will not help one to get any closer to ones goals.

Two discoveries of how one spend ones time
When keeping track of how one spends ones time, one discovered that one spends too much time playing ones PS3, and not enough time doing homework. The PS3 is a way for one to relax after having a difficult day. One did not realize that one could be on that game for hours. One discovered that one really needs some time management skills. One found that one would end up rushing at the end of the night trying to get homework done. This also falls under one of the goals that were set. If one did not procrastinate then one would not have to rush and get homework done at the end of the night.
Activities
When it comes to activities one would prefer to spend more time with ones fiancé, and less time at work. One works a very hectic schedule and this cause one not to spend enough time with ones fiancé. She also works a hectic schedule and it is hard for the two of us to find time with one another. One enjoys one job, but one enjoys her company more.
Improving time management
In order for one to reach his or her goals, one has to manage time better. The best way for this to be done is for one to stop doing silly things when one could be doing things that will help to reach the goals faster. Instead of playing games one needs to be doing homework, and finding out what steps is going to be need in order for one to own a home and business. One has to be more focused on the end result and this will help one to manage time better.
With improving ones time management one will have to come up with a way to monitor the progress. This could be done by making a list of goals and checking them off as they are reached. One can reward oneself by buying oneself a new game to play. When one sees that goals are not being met one would need to modify ones goal. The goal may be too hard for one to achieve at that time.
Conclusion
In anything one wants to do in life, one has to have a plan. A plan is basically ones goals and the time frame one will achieve these goals. By having a plan one can monitor ones progress and reward oneself for each achievement one makes. It is important to remember that if one fails to plan one plan to fail.
