The person, who made the biggest first impression on me, was my seventh grade social studies teacher Mr. Lamar. On the outside he looked as if he was very serious about his job. My impression was that he was a very serious, hard working teacher. Judging off of the way he looked, talked to us, and the way his work area looked I believed he could possibly be the greatest teacher I ever had.
The beginning of the year seemed to prove my impression correct. He told the class the truth behind everything he taught, He was very strict and serious about teaching, and he kept the class room as clean as possible. He came in everyday on time with a very serious face, and so much to teach us that we always got a great grade on all the assignments he gave us. At this time I believed he was the only teacher that id enjoy every waking moment in his class. I never got tired of going to his class. He kept us engaged in the lesson and at times we were laughing because he was really funny and cool, so to my opinion he was the best teacher.
By the middle of the year my impression was even more correct. He believed in punishing only select people who disrupt the class instead of punishing the entire class. He would give people pushups while he was still able to keep the class going. He never got mad at us no matter what happened, all he said was give me fifty pushups and that’s all that was needed. At times the entire class would have to be punished because we didn’t do our homework, or we were too loud but it was never too extreme. I’ve never had a teacher as great as Mr. Lamar before.
The Essay on Class Teacher People One
Know It All " just because a person thinks they know it all, doesn't mean they can teach. In America, the land of the free, gives this privilege every year to many people. They get their Masters or even a PHD degree in college and think they can mold the minds of others. This is such a farce. The degree may give you the right to become a teacher or even a doctor, but it does not mean you will be a ...
The end of the year was the only time when my impression seemed to be wrong. About a month before the CRCT, he didn’t show up a lot to school. Even when he did, something seemed to be wrong with him. The punishments got more extreme, he didn’t teach much, we rarely got homework, and he started yelling so much in the class. When I decided to talk to him, he told me “My wife is sick and I’m really not in a good mood, so I’m sorry for what I’ve missed and done”. In the end my impression wasn’t wrong after all he was just really tired so he couldn’t focus. At this time I believed I would never be able to call another teacher my favorite, sadly though he quit being a teacher after the CRCT.
Mr. Lamar showed me what being a serious, hardworking, and determined person can be like. To this day I still call him my favorite teacher. I can never forget about a person like him. His impact on my life changed me forever. I can’t even remember how I was before met him. Thank You Mr. Lamar!
