Homework, for children, has been going on since school started. Most of them do not like homework but there always is that small bunch that does like it. However, most of them just think it is a big waste of time. Teachers use it as a method of giving the students a reminder of what they have just learned. However, to the smarter kids that understands it they still are stuck with homework. This is why there should not be any more homework given by the teachers.
Without homework, the United States probably would not have that much obese people. People spend too much time on homework so they get hungry and conceal themselves in their room while eating who knows what. However, without homework people would be outside with friends and bike riding or something. They could spend their time with extra curricular activities to help them with collage scholarships like swimming, baseball, etc. Cutting homework would make not just the students happier but also make the United States a healthier place.
Without homework, students can learn to be more responsible because they do not have people on their backs on their homework. Instead they could just study on their own and have no or almost no worries about how long or how much they study because they are on their own time. They could learn new and fun ways to study without having a due date for everything. For instance they could all of the basketball games and see which team has the most amount of points in the season. With all of the pros that having no homework has it still has kinks that needs to be fixed.

Some students may need that extra reminder of what the learned. However, it has to be their responsibility to study for their upcoming test or assessments. The teachers do not need to spend their time making copies of homework, kill trees for paper, or even waste twenty minutes of class time checking the students homework. Instead, they should trust the students to do it themselves. In addition, if the student fails it could not be the teachers fault because they have trusted the students to study. Though there are cons in having no homework there are still many pros.
Without homework the students can find ways to make studying faster and a lot more fun. Teachers always think that is the system is not broken do not fix it. But, it is just like cars we must never stop improving because the next thing that makes studying more fun could be right in front of you. Though there still will be some kinks to the change we could all adapt to them and then they will just slowly go away. Together we could make studying a lot more fun abolish the old method we once called homework.
Through out the years teachers have been giving out homework as sort of a reminder for students of what they have learned. Many of those students spend hours on their homework just to turn it in the next day. After that all they get are just a few points for their grade that barely does anything. Most of the students who actually get the subject are stuck and forced to go their homework. This is why the teachers should stop giving homework.
Many students take hours to do their homework and when they are done it is dark outside already. Time after school should be a time where kids can have fun and not stuck in their house doing their homework. They could all be out and riding bikes or doing extra curricular activities to help them with collage. Or they could just take a breather from their hard day at school. But, they must stay inside and do their homework or else they probably would get into trouble. No homework can also teach kids to learn some responsibility because they need to do studying on their own.
When students don’t have any homework they learn to be more responsible to study for tests or assessments that they have. Instead of having homework that they don’t get they could study at their own pace. They could even make studying fun by just reading what they like and learning new things. Without homework the students could have more breathing room about what and how they study things.
3/24/05 Critical Incident I had the opportunity to look over the teacher's grade book today, and noticed something disturbing to me: the homework section in the grade book were mostly blank spaces with marks down only a few names. For over the passed months, most of the students have not turned in their homework. There are a few that turn in their homework consistently and the rest have done ...
