However, despite the abundance of sources, there is no authority responsible for the quality of internet resources you may come across with. Although the library is not the same, as it offers reputable and reliable sources, it is still important to plan your search strategy carefully, to understand the nature of the search tools you use, and critically think about the quality of information that you find. It is important to identify the phrases, keywords, and subject categories to use during the search, to understand search mechanisms (e.g.

Developing Effective Study Skills As far as study skills are developed only through practice, you should understand that your skills will develop more effectively through the process of trials, errors and feedbacks from your peers and teachers. Anyway, you should understand that developing your study skills is the integral part of your life as a student. Being a student, you should understand that you need a special place to study. It is better to close the door to your room in order to reduce or block out the noises around you. As you need to reduce the interruptions to minimum, it is better to turn off your phone and to ask people living with you (if any) to respect your privacy. You should tell them when you are going to learn, so they will know you are busy and appreciate for not being interrupted. Managing Time Wisely There are several tips enabling the student to managing his (her) time effectively and wisely. First, you should get an academic desk calendar and always use it to mark deadlines for important assignments, plans, exams, review sessions, and any other appointments or meetings you have. Create a weekly schedule and dedicate at least a few hours on a daily basis for your homework. This will help you to become more successful in your courses, will teach you to meet the deadlines, and to become more accurate. In addition, by adhering to your daily and weekly schedule will make you to become more accustomed to a routine. Although you may not be always stuck to the schedule, still try not to ignore it completely. Instead, be more flexible and make changes so to take an active part in your life, and not to forget your daily tasks.
Think about taking a time management” course, read literature on it. Use your watch and set it up accurately. Switch your TV and radio off, and never watch it when you do something important. Try to keep the number of minutes you spend for phone conversations with your friends to the lowest possible minimum, (at least to 30-40 minutes, if possible).
