Prayer: God I ask that my words be your words and that you open our ears so that we hear what you want us to hear. In Jesus name amen.
Before “The Rest”
Have you ever wondered how everything in the world began? I know I have. Some of you could be thinking about it right now. Or have already. When you see those beautiful flowers in the summer do you sometimes wonder how they became to be? Well I’m sure most of you would say from seeds. That is true but were did those seeds come from. Well from other flowers of course. But those flowers were a seed at one time too. And so on and so forth. There’s also yourself. But where did you come from. You say from your mothers belly right. But your mother was also a child at one time too. And her mother was a child too at one time. Many great men have tried to figure out how we all got here. But they could not figure it out. The only place they didn’t check was the BIBLE!!!!!! The Bible is the only real source on how the world came to be. And it starts on genesis 1:1. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Now we are going to move on to how it all began
Now let’s hear a story about a boy who picked up a strange little object. It was shaped like a horseshoe and had a mysterious name on it. The boy kept trying to pronounce the name on it. But it never sounded right. Then one day he decided to pronounce the word differently. When he said that word the horseshoe started to grow in to an archway. He stepped through it and found himself in a foreign country, far across the sea. Day by day he went to many different places, using his horseshoe to take him there. Then one day he wondered how people long ago lived. So he whispered the magic word to it and said he would like visit the days of Caesar and presto in Rome he stepped through there and he was there. Of course it is a made up story. But it does give us an idea. Would you like to see what the world looked like in the beginning of time? Oh you would, alright. Let’s imagine if there was an archway that you could pass through and see what it was like back then. Steady now, be careful what you do. But you decide to go through it. As you go through everything starts to fade away. Like chairs, tables, carpet, radios, TV etc. faces are fading away as well. Light are going dim. It is getting darker and darker. We swiftly speed back across the years. We streak over hundreds of thousands of years in less than one second.
The Term Paper on Tim Leary Lsd Started Research
Timothy Leary, also known as 'Uncle Tim', 'The messiah of LSD', and 'The most dangerous man in America', was born on October 22, 1920, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He went to a public high school where he discovered girls and the ability to attract attention from those in authority. After high school he attended Jesuit College Holy Cross, but Tim wasn't satisfied with Holy Cross, so he took a ...
Past the time when Jesus lived on earth. Past the time of Adam and Eve. Then you finally end up there. You think wow, who turned out the lights. You can’t see a single thing. But you can hear something. Swishing and gurgling. The sound that water makes. The only thing there is WATER AND DARKNESS. As the Bible says “darkness was upon the face of the deep.” All of a sudden we realize that we are not alone. Somebody is here with us, but who. We know it. We can feel it. Amid the darkness, the emptiness and the loneliness, god is here. The spirit of god is moving “upon the face of the waters.” God is looking upon the world he has created, planning what he will do with it. Suddenly, from somewhere, we hear a voice. Musical, strong, unlike any voice we have ever heard before. It commands the darkness to give place to light. Instantly the darkness vanishes and we can see light. We can see again. Not very far though. Because all around us is a thick mist. But the light is so great after all the darkness.
There is no sky, no bright sunshine. Only a fog. Under the fog is water, water, water everywhere. No land just the vast, restless, heavy ocean. Not a man or a woman. Not an animal, not even a fish in the sea. Only light in the mist and on the water. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening, and there was morning the first day.” The first day. The very beginning of everything, in this old world. The beginning of time, the beginning of history. The beginning of all the happiness and sorrow of mankind. For it was on this day that the great and loving creator, with a wonderful purpose in mind, drew near this blacked-out planet, this dark little speck in space, and said. “Let there be light.”
The Essay on Aether God Of Light
The term mythology can refer to the study of myths, which are sacred narratives usually explaining how the world or humankind came to be in its present form, or even a traditional story that was usually about the gods and their accomplishments. The Greeks in this case have believed in over two hundred gods, and were known for the myths and fables the Greek society contained. In Greek society death ...
Great Preparations
As the light of earths first day fades into night, something strange and wonderful begins to happen. Silently, mysteriously, the heavy, moisture-laden mist that has held close to the ocean begins to rise. All night and all the next morning it goes up, up, up until it becomes a beautiful fleecy white covering high above the world. Between it and the water below there is clear, fresh air, forming the atmosphere.. “And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.” Perhaps you are wondering why God took one whole day of creation week to make something invisible like the atmosphere, when he gave one day to making the fish in the sea and another to making the animals. But things are not unimportant just because they cannot be seen. The fact is that what God did on the second day was of very great importance. Everything else depended on it. He was planning to make a beautiful world and fill it with living creatures. In order to survive, they would all need air to breathe.
He was also about to make trees and plants and flowers and he knew they would need nitrogen to help them grow. So he mixed it with oxygen and made air. Just the right amount of each. Not too much and not too little. Had he mixed in too little oxygen, all his creatures would have suffocated. Had he mixed in too much, one spark would have set the world on fire. God had yet another reason in making the air first. It was to divide the waters “above” that is, in the clouds from the waters “under” or in the ocean. The air was to be a barrier between them. Without it, raindrops from a mile high cloud would have hit the earth like a machine gun bullets, and one heavy downpour would have just about destroyed everything. How wise was it of God to make the atmosphere before he made anything else! To have done it any other way would have been a dreadful mistake. His whole lovely plan might have been spoiled. But God does not make mistakes. And now earths second day is ending.
The Essay on God Day Universe Created
Creationism Genesis 1: 1"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." This quote, taken from the Hebrew Bible describes the belief that religious Jews and Christians follow. These two religions think that man, the earth, and the rest of the universe were originally created instead of the theory of evolution. This view on the origin of the earth is unique, because it was the first ...
Two days have gone, two out of six. And all that can be seen is the ocean, the great endless ocean. No land, no living creature, nothing but water. North, south, east, west, only water, water, water. And the restless waves rolling on, on, on to nowhere. In the darkness of the third day it seems as though God has done nothing but lift the moisture laden mist from the ocean. But he knows better. He is not impatient, he is not hurried. He knows that all is now ready for the next great step in creation. Listen! He is speaking again: “And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.” Suddenly the great ocean begins to boil and foam. There is a mighty shaking and shuddering as out of its depths rise the first needle points of land. Swiftly continents and islands take shape. Mountains and hills move upward as water drains from their sides in foaming cataracts. What a night! What a day!
As morning dawns on the third day and light shines through the radiant cloud once more, it reveals no longer only an ocean, but great stretches of dry land. It is beautiful land, with lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, and beyond it all, the sea. How very wonderful!!! Yesterday only an ocean. Today a beautiful world. Now we know for sure that God has a great plan in mind. He is building something, building a home for somebody he loves. It is still early on the third day of creation. Land has mysteriously risen out of the ocean. Islands of all shapes and sizes have appeared. Majestic mountains, rolling hills, lovely beaches are to be seen where before was only sea. There is still something wrong. The land looks barren. There is not a tree or a bush or a blade of grass anywhere. Surely God does not want anyone to live in a place like this? Wait a minute…it is too soon to judge!!!
The Essay on Creatures And Simon Light Water Imagery
Essay: Lord of the Flies The environment and organisms in a situation can parallel other people and circumstances through extensive imagery, or sense appealing descriptions. At times this correspondence may be found in a spiritual way. In particular, the depiction of light does portray a feeling of holiness or sacredness. Listen!!! God is speaking once more.
“Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning the third day.” Now the land looked green all around it was beautiful. The beautiful flowers all kinds of colors. How did God think of all the marvelous flowers? And God saw that it was good. The Bible says that all things were created for his pleasure. I like to think that he had a very fun time making all the different plants. Each one unique in its own way. For God was not thinking of himself but of someone else. Someone who at the moment existed only in his mind. Someone to give all these beautiful things too. The world was nearly ready for him. Nearly, but not quite yet. There were a few more things to be done. In three days the dark, water covered globe has been changed to this marvelous beauty. Driven up from the ocean depths by some mighty unseen force, Land has appeared.
The new continents and islands have been covered with plants of every shape size and color.Evening and night have passed. Now the fourth day has come. Dawn is coming, from the bright cloud above the atmosphere; a gentle light makes God’s work of yesterday seems more beautiful than ever. But look, something is happening. Up there in the cloud. They are drifting away from each other. A bright light started to appear. Like a ball of fire, what can it be? It is the sun. “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.” For the first time all the beauty of the newly made world is open to the full view of all of heaven. It is as if a curtain has been taken away from a window in heaven. Over yonder the moon is waiting, pale and dull as ever, waiting for night fall to come. And the setting of the sun, to take its place as the light of the world.
The Essay on God Theory Evolution Light
Creationism is the theory that man, the earth, and the rest of the universe was originally created rather than randomly exploding from nothingness into chance existence. Of all the generations thus far to inhabit the Earth, we have the least excuse for not recognizing the quiet presence of The Scientific Mathematician who set everything into motion around us. We should be in awe, not presumptuous ...
Now we move on to the 5th day. Beautiful beyond words was the world that God had made, with all its beauty. But it was a silent and empty world still. As morning dawned in the fifth day there was not a sound in the world to be heard. No lion roared, not even a little croak from a frog. Not a dog barked, or a crow cawed. Not even a human voice. But God did not want a silent empty world. He is making it for people like us and animals all around us. All his great preparations of the first, second, third, and fourth day, were to make a home for all the creatures to come. So now as the sun shines bright, God moves into action again. And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.” That was an amazing day. Does anybody here wish they could have been there? I know I would have wanted to be there. I would have loved to see God make the first fish in the sea. I am sure he had a marvelous time making all the creatures of the sea. How did he think of so many different kinds? God did all in one day, all different, all unique in their own way. Our creator is so amazing. But making thousand to hundred thousand fish at one time was not enough. So he decided to make birds. Oh what beautiful birds he made. And there was evening and morning the fifth day.
The Essay on Milton's Paradise Lost And His Justification Of The Ways Of God To Man
When John Milton decided to write, he knew from the start he wanted his creation to be that of an epic. Paradise Lost is just that. It is Milton’s own take on the biblical story of Satan’s fall from grace as well as man’s fall. Milton was not only armed with an extensive knowledge on the Bible, but in everything a man of his time could learn. With his wisdom he emersed himself ...
The Day of the Animals
For a few short hours the birds had the dry land all to themselves. But God was not finished making this wonderland. Early on the sixth day there was a roar in the jungle. The king of the jungle is there. It was the lion. Now everywhere was such unique animals everywhere. What marvelous creature, and to think God made them in just a short time. And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.” God was happy with his creation same as the animals. But something was still missing. It was us, and God had left it until the end.
God makes man
Have you ever planned a wonderful surprise for your mother, like her birthday? The entire thrill to see your mothers face when she gets the surprise. Something like that thrill must have been in the heart of God on the sixth day of creation. All that week he has been getting the amazing present ready. From the first day all the way to the sixth day he has been making such marvelous things. Now it’s time for man to come. At last, when everything was ready God created the very last thing, man. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” He made man into something more wonderful then the TV. Why? Because man could see. More wonderful then the radio. Why? Because man could hear.
More wonderful then radar. Why? Because man could think and remember. Best of all, he made man so we can live, laugh, and love. Finally, man and woman was complete, laying there waiting for the breath of life from God. Then God breathed into their nostrils the breath of life. Right then and there they awoke and God named them Adam and Eve. On the seventh day God looked over all his creation and saw that it was good. And that’s what happened Before “THE REST.”
