Quezon City Circle: A Family Place
It takes around 15 to 25 minutes to get to the Quezon City Circle from Katipunan. However, in our case, it took us one hour to get there. We couldn’t decide whether we should ride a jeepney or a cab. We chose the latter because it would directly take us there and it’s faster – although it took us a long time to find a vacant cab. On our way, I was imagining what QC Circle looks like, since it’s my first time to go there. I thought it was just a big circular park with a monument in the middle and benches where people can sit while watching the cars rush by in the elliptical road surrounding it. But when we got there, the Quezon City Circle was far from what I imagined.
When we were roaming around, I noticed that there were a lot of families. I thought that maybe, this place is usually where families go to. I asked myself why. I found the answer to be quite obvious. QC Circle offers many activities where families can definitely enjoy, and it has nice features to look at that will entertain families, especially children. With my observations, I suppose that Quezon City Circle is a simple, yet perfect place to spend time and share good memories with family.
When I entered the place, the first thing I saw was the playground called Circle of Joy. It has swings, slides, see-saws and other fun activities. Seeing it somehow gives me a nostalgic feeling. I remember the times when my parents used to accompany me to the playground when I was a child. Having a Circle of Joy makes QC Circle a child friendly place.
The Term Paper on Polytechnic University Of The Philippines Quezon City
Need is a construct to indicate what is that absent or lacking in the individual’s effort to achieve or perform satisfactorily and obtain a meaningful happy life. Henry Murray and Abraham Maslow proposed the Needs Theory of human behavior. They stated that throughout life wishes and drives collectively called needs, motivate all. When not fulfilled, these needs place the individual under stress ...
Beside the Circle of Joy is a bicycle station where people can rent bicycles or sidecars for hours. It is a convenient way for a family to roam around the QC Circle because it’s not so tiring compared to walking. However, I think it’s safer to just walk around because, according to the person we interviewed, there are some bicycle accidents – like the one we saw during our first visit in QC Circle where a woman riding a bicycle accidentally hit a little girl.
We continued walking until we saw an amusement park called Circle of Fun. It has different kinds of rides such as roller coaster, bumper cars, merry-go-round and other quick-paced rides. At first, I thought that it was not safe to go on these rides, particularly the roller coaster, but after seeing how it works, it looked safe and enjoyable. Another feature of the amusement park is the haunted pyramid where families can enjoy the thrill inside.
Further down the road, we saw the monument with a museum and mausoleum inside. In the mausoleum lie the remains of the former president Manuel L. Quezon. This structure also makes the QC Circle an educational place for children. Near the monument is a fountain surrounded by benches where families can sit, watch, and be entertained. The fountain is like dancing to the beat of the loud music playing. When darkness takes over, the fountain changes its color in a rainbow effect which makes it much more entertaining. There are also ice-cream vendors around from whom families can buy to refresh themselves.
We also saw basketball, volleyball and badminton courts where group of friends and families can play. All they have to bring are their own equipment. As far as I know, there’s no fee for playing on these courts. Surely, families can bond and enjoy some sports at the same time.
Around the park, one can’t fail to see numerous tables, chairs and benches. Here, families can pass time by playing board games. QC Circle is also surrounded with trees and grass that makes it a perfect place for families to have a picnic.
With the number of sites and activities to enjoy in QC Circle, it truly is a place for family bonding. The attractions there are both for the children and adults. Boredom is impossible in QC Circle because there are many things that can be done there. When we left the place, I immediately told myself that I will definitely take my family to QC Circle some time.
