Poetry is pure
Poetry is like a stoic race-horse running against the wind
Poetry is about emotion
Poetry is as important as a baby’s mother’s milk
Poetry is as pointless as nothing and everything
Poetry means hate and love combined

I am a Thespian
By: Brady M. Widener
I was born between the strings of the piano I Walked to Broadway and built the Gershwin I made my voice so fortissimo that all of the universe could hear me I am divine
I sat on the stage with the lights on my face I got hot I called a blackout I was sent to the Globe I preformed for hours I am a thespian
I sat at the piano and composed the score I wrote at my desk created the lyrics I sat on the stage and I wrote the book I danced on the stage and choreographed the musical I am a creator
You are as Beautiful as a Broadway Show
By: Brady M. Widener
Shall I compare you to a Broadway show
Your graceful dancing fills me with such joy
When we say good bye I never want to go
Your lips are as soft as buttery food
When you sing the whole universe slows down
And our love will never ever decay
And our loves will never ever fade away
The shining lights on the stage make you glow
And your skin is as white as winter snow
And your amazing smile fills me with much joy
And I have always wished that I would be your boy
And I will always love you because I am your boy
Ode to the Piano

Dad brought me home one day
The Essay on Best Friend Poetry Love Heart One
Not There I stare at you across the room I see your warming face I try to see the inside you hide Your feelings I try to embrace I realize as I look at you As I just sit and stare I can see you perfectly clear But for some reason you " re not there I see your eyes, I see your face But yet I can not see Your loving inside that you had I can't see your personality I realize how much that you have ...
He took me to the basement
And there it was…..
The shining ebony piano
The sound was so magnificent
You could play a sweet balled
And the world would stop
You could speed up and the world would start again
You could play a loud march
And suddenly the whole British army was in front of you
It was like a black stallion racing through the great expanse
It was so beautiful
It could make a pitch-black room
Be full of light
When I go to recitals
I wish I could bring it with me
But……..
I can’t
Being on the Table
Cut me open
You will see the disease
The wounds so deep
Scars from before
I have them inside me
I AM AN ACTOR
I HAVE A LOUD VOICE
I AM OVERLY DRAMATIC
I CARE
I MEMORIZE VOCAB QUICKLY
I AM ALWAYS THE FIRST ONE TO DO SOMETHING
I HAVE GREAT IDEAS
I AM AN ACTOR
IF YOU DON’T KNOW THAT BY NOW….
THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU!
Reflection
As an artist I like to make my work appealing to others, but also to myself. There is never a time when I don’t think of the audiences prospective. But I also need to address my life in these poems which is why I have included so much theatre into them. If you haven’t found out by now, I love acting, and I always will! Maybe you’ll see me on Bway one day or maybe in a big move. What do you know?! Thanks for reading!
