Critical and creative thinking is crucial in regard to making good decisions. Good thinkers are proficient in respect to attaining reasonable conclusions founded on conscientious assessments of fact-based evidence. Individuals may act irrational at times as well as make wrong choices; however, irrational thinking may illicit a reasoning mechanism in respect to a number of individuals that expose hidden cognitive abilities. What does critical and creative thinking imply? Critical and creative thinkers have the necessary cognitive abilities and skills, but they also have the right attitude, motivation, self-confidence, good habits, creativity, and values. These fundamental elements play an essential role in regard to their ability to analyze and establish a plan that resolves problems and situations via a fresh perspective that puts forward the best-possible resolution. Critical and creative thinking traits are not mutually exclusive, as high levels of interactions between the two can stimulate the thought processes needed to form a resolution. This paper will examine the critical and creative thinking process as well as how they contribute to the quality of my decision-making.
According to “The Critical Thinking Community” (2014), “Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.” Critical thinking is a continuing development of taking control of one’s mind in respect to improving the excellence of one’s thinking in regard to living a balanced and practical life. Human rational is overflowing with prejudices, unexplored social guidelines, biases, and errors in reasoning that remain open in regard to validity and truth. Characteristics of critical thought include recognizing complexities, curiosity, seeking the truth, clear and logical communication, intellectual empathy, analysis of vital questions, taking into account unconventional answers, integrity, deduction, and intellectual courage that allows for thinking outside the box (Critical Thinking Traits & Characteristics, 2014).
The Essay on The Importance of Deductive Reasoning 2
We make decisions every day that impact our lives. Some individuals, just do not realize how much. Whether we realize it or not, everything we do and say, is a result of a decision we have made. There is no easy way to change the fact that we make decision, however we can change how we approach the decision, resulting in better outcomes from making better choices. If an individual knew what the ...
Creative thought is closely related to critical thought in that it encompasses examining things in regard to a fresh viewpoint in respect to approaching a problem with a number of solutions that avoid oversimplification. Creative thought differs from critical thought in that it allows for lateral thinking by embracing unconventional ideas and thoughts in an unusual or innovative way, and may include brainstorming.
Critical and creative thinking are considered higher levels of thought because they involve complex judgmental skills such as logic, creativeness, reflectiveness, problem solving, new ideas, and metacognitive thinking (Higher Order of Thinking, 2010).
Successful efforts of these components bring about explanations, decisions, and performances that are well-founded within the perspective of existing comprehension and proficiency that stimulate the continuous growth of scholarly competence. Regardless of the point that the two modes of intellect typically derive from opposing sides of the brain, they both necessitate thinking at a higher cognitive degree; however, lower levels of thought such as application, understanding, and knowledge do not (Elder, 2008).
Higher levels of thought such as critical and creative thinking, typically sidestep elementary thinking skills in support of the more advanced cognitive tasks.

Conclusion
Critical and creative thinking, simply by nature, requires methodical observation of thought. These thoughts must confront ideas at face worth as well as evaluated and reviewed in regard to their rationality, accurateness, significance, complexity, broad-mindedness, and logicalness. Critical and creative thinking also requires the acknowledgement that reasoning transpires within different points of view and logical suggestions in regard to goals, objectives, fact-based evidence, individual interpretation, assumptions, and implications; however, each of these components require monitoring as issues in regard to any of these may occur. I have learned the influence of knowledge and the significance of collecting data, in regard to critical and creative thinking, requires caution and an understanding in respect to possible errors, bias, or misapplication. Human intellect is easily self-deceived because it unconsciously fashions misconceptions and misunderstandings in regard to rationality, stereotypes, tasks, and incrimination.
