FREEDOM OF SPEECH
The freedom of speech is the freedom to speak without censorship and / or limitation. The synonymous term freedom of expression is used to right indicate not only freedom of verbal speech but any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless f the medium used. The right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and the right is commonly subject to limitations, such as on “hate speech”.
The right to free speech is one of the most precious rights an individual has as a citizen of any country. The right gives people the opportunity to speak their mind and give their opinions of what they think should happen. These rights have been questioned and exercised throughout history, and have produced extremely positive things in a lot of cases. The questioning of these rights is not secluded to one era of the times. There have been questioned many different times, in many different ways. On modern time, people are always protesting something. People wanted their voice to be heard and as long as it is done in a peaceful manner it is legal now, but it resulted in punishment for the colonists. For example, in Iran people have freedom of speech. They don’t have the right to say what is on their mind and if they do so then the government will not take it seriously. Men mostly have right then women. They have more freedom of speech and will be taken more serious than women. Once you ask for something and they deny it than you can’t ask for it a second time. There is still an opportunity to bring about peaceful democratic change in Iran. The great majority of the Iranian people are deeply dissatisfied with the Iranian regime.

Evin prison is not like any other prisons that you can imagine or hear about! Once you are there than your life is over. Many Iranians end up there while protesting on the streets for freedom and freedom of speech so they could live their life with no fear. I had the same problem in Iran when I used to live there. The main issues were walking around with a female friend or have a girl friend like any other countries. I always had to hide myself from the cops. We could not ever have get together and have a small party with music and girls and boys mixed at one place together. I remember, it was my sister’s birthday and we had music and some people over and all of the sudden the cops made their way into our house. They usually give you warning but this was the first time that they picked on us and every one got arrested and booked. And that’s all because of a small birthday party with music and mixed genders.

What worse can happen to you?” We all shall go out there and fight for our freedom until we were given so. It could take months, years but we should never give up because everyone deserves the Freedom of speech and it could happen to any other countries as well.
