The Perks of Being a Wallflower
While reading this book, I found a lot of thing in the book that can be relatable to my life. In the book, Charlie father make a statement saying, “There are other a lot of people who have it worse”. This is a very true statement in which my father says to me a lot. He always tells me to appreciative what I have and never which for someone else life. This advice has helped me out on being grateful for having the life and the love of my family, and so to me it don’t matter whatever the situation or problems might be in life, as long as I have life within me, I am grateful.

In the book, Charlie’s sister, dated a boy who abused her. It said in the book that the reason why the boy abused the girl was because she provoked him. In many case people would argue with the fact that the girl started it first by provoking him, while others might say he shouldn’t have never hit her, in my opinion it shouldn’t matter whether you’re being provoked or not, he should have never raised his hands on her. Abuse it a serious case, it don’t matter whether it mentally or physically, nobody should ever have to go through something like that.

Different people have different opinions about what qualities a good friend should be. Maybe someone would say a good friend should be caring, trustworthy, supportive, patient, and so on. But as for me, I think there are three most important qualities of a good friend should have which are reliability, and honesty, and being helpful. If someone has these three qualities I will consider him or her to be my good friend, and fortunate for me my best friend Amy has all this good qualities and so does Charlie. He found a great friend in Sam and Patrick. In the book they played a good friend to Charlie even though they were older than him. I think everybody can relate on having great friends as Charlie has with Sam Charlie and Patrick.

In the book Charlie describes Aunt Helen as his favorite aunt. I think everyone has a favorite person in their family. My most favorite person in my family is my granny. She is a very special woman who brought so much joy and delight into to my life. Just thinking her names makes me smile from ear to ear. When I think about my granny so many memories flood my mind. The qualities that stick out are her strength, humor, and excellent cooking ability’s. But, the one that stands out the most is her love she had for me and everyone who meet her.

In the book Charlie’s grandfather was protracted as a very out spooking and very straight forward person. I think everyone has the same experience when it comes to family being together, and there being one particular person who is always out spooking when dunk. My uncle is exactly like that. When there is a family reunion or a holyday, he seems to be the only one who gets extremely drunk to the point where he always spells the most secretive secret or the most embarrassing thing someone in my family had to face. I at times wonder why anyone in my family would tell him stuff.

High school alone is the hardest part of any teenager’s life, and in the book of the perks on being a wallflower, Charlie’s character was portrayed as a very nice, honest, trust weather person. Although he lived a very awkward life in my opinion I think the way the author portrayed his charters was well played. As I read this book I see myself a Charlie simply because as Charlie I am a very honest, caring, trust weather person. I at times come out a little bit awkward because of my slyness or keeping thing to myself. I don’t have a lot of friends but the little friends that I have makes me happy enough to appreciate them.
The Research paper on Roald Dahl Film Book Charlie
Rosina Gonzalez ENG 35302/08/05 Research Paper For this paper, I chose the Roald Dahl modern fantasy book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Dahl's books are mostly fantasy and full of imagination. They are always a little cruel, but never without humor - a thrilling mixture of the grotesque and comic. A frequent motif is that people are not ...

In the book Charlie had a chase with the character Sam. Although Sam was older then Charlie, she still kissed him at the party they had in her house. It almost seems that it was a petite kiss because it stated in the book that she asked him whether he had ever kissed a girl before. After Charlie told her that he never did, she kissed him. One of my friends had kind of the same incident happen to her. She decided to go out with some guy form school because she felt bad for him never having a girlfriend. It out to a point where my friend was starting to develop feels for the guy. As time went on the guy found out the truth in my opinion I think it is bad to play with someone emotion like my friend did.

In the book of the perks for being a wallflower, Charlie the main character felt guilty and blamed himself for his Aunt Helen. Although her death was an accident, each yeah Charlie contently blamed himself because he feel that because his Aunt went to get him a second gift that what caused her death. As I read that particular part of the book, I felt really bad for Charlie, because his Aunt dead the day of Charlie’s birthday and also the day after Christmas. Although I have no personal connection to this part of the story in my opinion, I don’t think anyone deserves to go through such teamer, and have to blame themselves for something which is clearly not their fault.

In the book every one of the characters in the book played a very important role in the book, in my opinion I would have to say my favorite character in the book would be Charlie the main character. He is my favorite in the book because the story is about his life and from reading this book; I have encounter a lot of thing I can relate to. Charlie’s family is kind of similar to my exact for the fact that my mom is more like the men in the house then my dad. My mom is your everyday simple mother but definitely not the type to keep her opinion or view on something bottled in. she defiantly speaks her mind and don’t care about the consequent. In all I love my family jest the way we are and wont trade it for the word.
