*Life of hard work of slaves:
Life of the slaves in the American culture was really brutal and didn’t have any kind of humanity against them. Their life was always full of hard work. They had to wake up very early to start working from the moment the sun rises up until it fully sundown. Some of them were intended to work as home cleaners, cookers, and even taking care of the children but the main job that was spread was planting crops, working in the fields whatever it was the kind of the field, picking corn and cotton. They used to live in shacks called slave quarters which were totally made of small wooden shacks. All of them had 1 set of cloths because they couldn’t afford to buy anymore. They were fed the worst and the cheapest kind of foods from their masters. They had to work under the supervision of some men which was named the over seers. If they saw them once not working as they should be, they would be beaten up immediately to avoid doing that anymore. Some of them had the chance to run away and escape to the north and some not. As for the people who couldn’t escape found another way to fight back the violence. They worked slowly, pretended to be sick they tried to do anything to stop the masters from acting in their way. In addition also the slaves were treated according to their previous master. The richer the better the treatment. Some also tried to enrich themselves in the free time to try to forget the harsh times by creating pottery, quilts and sometimes composing African music.
The Essay on Liberal Governments Life For The Working
The 1906 election, and subsequent landslide victory for the Liberals, was the first step toward the introduction of a welfare state. The Conservatives who were in power up to 1906 had basically ignored the concept of social reform; this had led to them losing the worker's vote and had also led to a decline in the standards of living for the working class. The New Liberals argued for more ...
*Modern African American culture
Most of the Africans that were in America were originally slaves that came from Africa’s middle and north western coast regions. They mainly traveled with the new explorers who their main job was to discover new lands so people can settle in it and expand their territory. Their culture is really weird for example it is thought if that house is cleaned at the night it will bring bad luck. Most of their men work as farmers and cattle raisers and maybe sometimes as fishers. They are also famous for their cuisine which they spread freely without any problems to all the people leading to the development of multinational cooking style among whole America. Food generally plays important role in the traditions, customs and beliefs. Health issues are also very important factor in their culture because they played an important role that showed the direct connection between poor health and the problem of underemployment. Also there are more than 1000 languages spoken in whole Africa like the Niger-Congo family which is the main language in the southern portion of the continent and the afro Asiatic family which is spoken in northern Africa. Also the religion was very important in the African American culture. It started from the past as ancestor worship which was mainly compensated into ritual, magic and devotion to the spirits of the dead. Christianity came after that in the 1700’s. The music also was very famous for the African American culture due to their impact on the nation’s musical history like the blues and the jazz genres.
*comparison between both:
What I could say at the end of the day is that most of the African American culture came one way or the other through the slavery concept. For example most of their famous music came from the slaves that tried to create new music to entertain themselves during their free time. Another thing also would be the health famous issues. The fatal work situations that they faced which forced them to be open hearted for deadly deceases that no one knew about it like the cancer, diabetes and hypertension. It was caused mainly because of the extremely low poverty level they faced which made it impossible for them to bear their lives and heal themselves, which led at the end to the lack of quality medical care. Even worse deceases they faced but at the end it shaped up their culture and opened a new gate to the medical virtual door to see new deceases so they can look for cure for it. They were making history and culture. Once again and finally, another thing that stresses on what I mentioned would be the religion. When the slaves hated their lives back there, they tried entertainment but when even that didn’t succeed they chose to search for something they could believe in even if we see it as silly thing that they sacrificed bodies for the magic and these weird stuff. They discovered their religion which was ancestor worship which was ritual and the magic and they tried hardly to stick to it in hope that they can be free. We can say that this shaped also their culture and stated that they were the first to use the ancestor worship idea which made the whole world remember the African American culture for their religion because of the slaves that practiced this specific kind of religion. The list goes on with many topics that slaves had impact on it but it would never end. These were the only mentioned ones because they are the most memorable factors in shaping any kind of culture
