“MY DREAM IS TO BECOME A TEACHER”
The decision to enter a career in teaching is not something to be taken lightly. There are hundreds and hundreds of other careers to choose from. So I ask myself this question and ponder the reasons, why I want to become a teacher. Upon asking another teacher this question I got a quick response of June, July, and August. There has to be more to it than just summer vacation, right? Some of the other reasons people might give are such things like: they feel a calling to teach; a chance to positively impact the community; having a commitment to students; and being a good role model. But just what does all this mean to me and my pursuit to be an educator? Ultimately, I believe it will lead to a brighter future for me, and for my family.
Let us take a little deeper look at some of the rewards of teaching. Everyone wants to be recognized for things they do in life, whether they are willing to admit it or not. I would love one day to have my name called out at an assembly to receive a certificate, plaque, or maybe even a banner, for being awarded Teacher of the Year. This would be a really great way to mark my accomplishments and distinguish myself among my colleagues. Teaching is not all about fame and recognition though. Knowing that I am doing a job that makes a difference, like teaching a child how to read and write, learn what respect is, and take responsibility for their actions will be meaningful. Those things alone are far more valuable than rewards of recognition or money. Another reason some might chose to become a teacher is they feel a calling or vocation towards education.

No matter the position someone may hold in society everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher, someone who taught them in the way they should go. Teacher as defined in the dictionary as one who instructs. To teach someone is to communicate skills and give instruction. Now that I have told you what has led me to this decision I would like to tell you exactly why I have chosen to become a teacher. I want to become a teacher not because of the salary nor because I want weekends and holidays off; rather, I want to become a teacher because I truly have a passion for making a difference in others live. I feel that teaching is perhaps one of the most fulfilling roles in life. Becoming a teacher to me means helping to shape another person by teaching and instructing them. Becoming a teacher is a huge responsibility with many obstacles, and I am willing to take on the challenge.

Ever since I was a little girl, my biggest dream has been to be successful, and to be happy. My goal in life is to be something that would make me successful such as becoming a teacher. I’ve always known that my ambition would lead me to faraway places. I plan on accomplishing my dreams and goals and pushing myself to achieve them. My dream is to be a successful. In other words I want to be having a good job and be successful in it. I believe that whatever I go to school for and major in I will be successful in as long as I work hard. Hard work and dedication can get you anywhere. Someone once told me that dreams are only as real as you make them. So I believe if I work hard enough to achieve my dream it will happen. My other dream is to be happy. I just want to be content with whatever I’m doing in life. Some people are miserable and unhappy with themselves. I don’t want to be like that I just want to be happy and make make people happy">people happy and put smiles on their faces.
