O.J. Simpson
“I have always wanted to be liked and respected.” This is a quote taken from O.J. Simpson that he said to the media. This proves that O.J. really wants people to think he is a good guy and trustworthy. While many people feel O.J. Simpson has done many bad things in his life and is a bad person, I disagree. “I think throughout his life he has shown more determination, skill, and endurance than any professional athlete. Orenthal James Simpson was born July 9, 1947. He did not have a lot of money in his childhood, however, he did what he could to help his family while he was growing up. Some of the many great achievements in O.J.’s life are : he was a heisman winner for USC, a hall of fame running back for the Buffalo Bills, the first running-back to ever go for over 2000 yards, and he also had a successful acting career. Put all of these achievements aside and he was still a great father and husband.
Determination- What O.J. has shown throughout his life. In 1967 Simpson led the nation in
rushing with 1,451 yards, he worked even harder the following year and once again led the nation in
rushing with 1,709 yards. O.J. went on to win the Heisman trophy in 1968 and is regarded by many
as one of the best college running-backs in history. O.J. then took his determination from college to a professional team, the Buffalo Bills which was ranked the worst team in the NFL the previous year. Despite being put on a bad team O.J. had a positive outlook. O.J. had a slow start to his NFL career; however, O.J. kept working hard and had a breakout season in 1972 rushing for over 1,000 yards. O.J. Simpson killed defenses the following year, when he ran for 2,003 yards and was named the NFL’s MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and Pro Bowl MVP. O.J. Simpson had many killer runs in his NFL days and was even given the nickname of The Juice because O.J. had never-ending endurance and was a monster on the field. When it comes to being a person with a lot of determination, O.J. is guilty.

Endurance- O.J. Simpson has had a very up and down life but he has kept his head high through all of it. O.J. was born into a poor family in 1947. Despite being poor and living in a rough neighborhood, O.J. had a good attitude and did what he could to support his family. O.J. spent much of his early life working very hard to excel at sports. In the classroom O.J. was not very good which prevented him from going to a really good college right out of high-school. However, O.J. did not let this stop him. He was accepted into a junior college where he played football and murder defenses for fifty four touchdowns in a two year span. After two years of junior college and improved grades, O.J.’s endurance paid off. After his sophmore year at the junior college O.J. had over fifty scholarship offers from most the top schools in the country. O.J. also had to endure some rough times in his personal life. O.J. and his wife of ten years divorced in 1977 and two years later in 1979, O.J.’s first daughter, Aaren, drowned in a backyard swimming pool. O.J. became very depressed and retired from football. The Term Paper on College Football vs Nfl
Many compare the National Football League (NFL) with college football but the two are not extremely similar and should never be compared. Yes, besides a few minor rule changes the NFL and college football are the same game; but there is much more to football then the rules. College football is better than the NFL for a wide variety of reasons. First, there exists more passion in college football ...
In 1992 O.J. and Nicole split ways. However, they still remained good friends until she was murdered in 1994. O.J. was in mourning and it got worse when he was arrested for the murder. O.J. Still managed to endure all the name-calling and accusations. Once again O.J.’s endurance paid off when he was finally acquitted in 1995. He wanted to let everyone know that was willing to go the distance to prove his innocence and that is exactly what he did. When it comes to being a person that has endurance, O.J. is guilty.
O.J. Simpson is proof that if you work hard enough you can do anything you want to do.
O.J. had killer instincts that he often followed and they led him to many great things in his life including: a great college football career, a hall of fame NFL career, and success in acting. O.J. Simpson is a great example of determination, success, and endurance. When it comes to being a good American, O.J. Simpson is guilty. Even though O.J. Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping a couple years ago, I still feel he is still a great man and deserves to be to let out, he was trying to get his stuff back and made a bad choice in how he did it, I mean it’s not like he killed anyone. “
