Poverty has been present in our world since the begging of time. In some cases Poverty can not be helped. People are born into poverty everyday. One who is Poverty has poor living conditions. These conditiions may consists of; contaminated water, small living space, and limited resources to provide for their family. Third world countries are countries are suffrering greatly from poverty. Problem is their increasing birth rate is to high to be supported due to the lack of limited resources. Are we responsible for tghe problems these countries inherited. Garret Hardin is a professor in human ecology for the university of california. His perspective on the topic is that those in those in poverty should not be helped and that we(The United States) ars not morally responsible for those countries that are in poverty. He feels that the best teacher is expierience and that helping them will only provide a crutch. If we were to keep providing resources for these countries they woukd become too dependent on us and will only prolounge them from economic stabilization. One who spectates usually is not near as efficient as someone with hands on experience. I am against Hardings argument and feel that there is too many people living in poverty for too long. The federal poverty level for a family of four is 22,050.
Over 35.9 millon are below poverty level in america.Numbers twice as large are currently happening in 3rd world countries. The logistics of Hardins plan will only make these numbers increase. If These countries have been suffering for years on in… what makes this year or the years to come any differnt? These countries have suffered enough and it is time for a diffrent appraoch. We are responsible for those who are less fortunate. If we consistantly help EACH OTHER this will increase the chance of the countries and ours success. To ameliorate a global society will bring unity nd set a presidence for other countries who are more fortunate to follow in our footsteps.Ife we were to not help these countries it will appear as if we do not care despite if the intentions were to make that country better.
