What inspired me to want to become a prosecuting lawyer is my human condition. The way I was raised and my surrounding made me what to pursue in this career. I found about this profession by personal references, research and diligent. What attracted me to become a prosecuting lawyer am because it gives me the opportunity to legally express my opinion, and by doing it the right way. In the past and as if now I’ve had experiences with this profession by volunteering at my Grandmothers beauty shop, I’ve also have retail experiences.

The beginning average salary of law clerks is $43,000, and the average expected income is clerks are $654,774. The expected growth in the population should create more jobs for law clerks. The percentage of growth for law clerks is at a 22% increase. More people and more businesses will create a need for more legal services. However, growth will be reduced by the fact that law firms are trying to cut back on costs. They may hire paralegals to do some of the tasks that law clerks have done in the past. Also, some people use mediators to handle their legal work. These people may resolve their divorce issues and file their own claims, rather than hire law firms. Competition for law clerk positions will continue to be strong. This is because law schools are graduating more lawyers than there are jobs available… The total number of job openings is projected to be much lower than the statewide average number of job openings for all occupations through 2020.
In Michigan there are not many job openings, though across the U.S there are multiple jobs opened for the law clerk field. To be specific there are 44,550 jobs available across the country, from Delaware all the way to California. Relocating will not be a problem, if needed.

However, a few law schools accept students who have completed only three years of college. Together, college and law school usually take seven years of full-time study. This includes four years of undergraduate study followed by three years of law school. Law school graduates receive a jurist doctor (J.D.) degree. Your bachelor’s degree does not have to be in a specific area for you to apply to law school. So you should take a rigorous course of study, including the sciences. I am not interesting in becoming a law clerk at all. This career doesn’t match my interest because it’s not much competitive discussions and hands on action going on. That’s what I’m best at doing, and what fits my personality best. My personality Type is ESFJ according to the Jungian Personality test. I’m a care giver; I use my Sensing and Judging characteristics to gather specific, detailed information about others, and turn this information into supportive judgments. I want to like people, and have a special skill at bringing out the best in others. I’m extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. The ESFJ’s strong desire to be liked and for everything to be pleasant makes them highly supportive of others. People like to be around ESFJs, because the ESFJ has a special gift of invariably making people feel good about themselves. It doesn’t match my values, though it does match my abilities. I’m capable to become a law clerk, multiple abilities listed showed this. The training required for a law clerk does not match my learning style, I’m the hands-on type and verbal type of personal. Law clerk deals with documents and not so much going on and doing work in another field. The time spent for becoming a law clerk does actually match the time I’m willing to spend in post-secondary training. I will take as long as needed until I get to the point that I want to be at in my career. In a couple years, I will only be in my early 20’s so I won’t consider a job in this field challenging at all. By then I’ll be quicker on my feet and have more knowledge of what I’m doing.

The rewards for becoming a law clerk are gaining experiences you go through while working on the job. Experiences are what really take you through life, and what makes you wiser as an individual. The rewards and satisfactions that it’ll won’t provide is really up to you, and how you take it. Anything pleasing to you can be a satisfaction or reward.
With this being said, I won’t be perusing this career. I’m going to go into another field other than a law clerk. This job just doesn’t benefit me in any way shape or form for becoming a prosecuting lawyer in the future.
