Do you think a racist nation would have a minority as their president? Neither do I. I do not think that racism is a major problem in the United States of America in 2010 because we have a minority president, we accept minority celebrities and athletes, and every race has the same rules and regulations in the U.S.A..
If the U.S. was a racist country I do not believe we would have a black president. The president has to win a vote from both races and if the U.S. and if the white people oppressed other races they wouldn’t accept a minority as a president. According the to the U.S. Census Bureau, America is 79.8% white people and if they were racist Barack Obama would not win the presidential race.
Lebron James, Tiger Woods, Albert Pujos, and Adrian Peterson all have things in common. They are all arguably the best players in their respective leagues, they have millions of fans, and they are all minorities. I do not believe white American fans would embrace these athletes if they were racist. I also don’t think black people and other minorities in America would embrace white athletes like Peyton Manning, Ryan Braun, and Tom Brady if they were racist. Black people compromise approximately 79% of NBA rosters and there are millions of NBA fans of all different races.

In the United States of America every law and regulations are the same for every race. I think if the United States was racist in 2010 there would be laws and regulations limited to certain races like those in the past, having white schools and black schools, black restrooms and white restrooms, and even black people sitting in the back of the bus. All of those regulations do not exist in 2010.
I think people take racism as a joke these days and people accept others and their racial backgrounds. There are groups like the KKK and neo-Nazi groups. But if you look at America as a whole, I do not think it is a racist country in 2010 because we have a minority president, we accept minority celebrities and athletes, and every race has the same rules and regulations in the U.S.A..
