MY HOLIDAYS Alexander Petrov All people celebrate with their family or with friends. Below I will tell you how I celebrated. On December 25th my grandmother came to celebrate with us. My present was a mobile phone. I was very excited. Almost all day I was occupied with it. At 8 pm I had dinner and watched TV. At 2 am I went to sleep. My Christmas Day was beautiful! On December 31st our friends came to my home to celebrate with us. My present was a mobile phone. I was very excited. Almost all day I was occupied with it. At 8 pm we had dinner and watched TV. At 2 am I went to sleep. Christmas Day had been beautiful! On December 31st our friends came to my home to celebrate with us. We played on my computer, lighted fireworks, watched TV and so on. The sky was nice, as if painted in different colours. Everything was so exciting. My holiday was the most beautiful in my life. I hope that the next year will be even more beautiful.
MY HOLIDAY Anton Morozov Holidays are meant for relaxation and getting rid of the hard work that you are obligated to do. Every hard working person enjoys his holiday by going on a vacation or just staying at home and just watching television or a video. Holidays are short but long enough to do things that you can’t do at work or at school. My holiday was not very exciting but it was enjoyable. I sat at home and watched TV, played PC games, chatting with friends, things that are less complicated, like arranging a vacation in Borovec or something of the kind. On 31 of December I went to the shop and bought some goods for the New Year’s celebration. When the time had come, my family and me gathered around the table and started “destroying” everything on the table. After 12 AM some of us watched TV (Mum and Dad) and I went to bed because I was so tired that I fell asleep as soon as I got into bed. In the morning we went to my Granddad’s house and started celebrating again but this time I was not tired. After that we went home and I started “packing” for school. (Why so early? Well, because there was nothing to do at home, so I started to do my “huge” homework.).

That is the boring story, so now I will tell you of my imaginary holiday: It was a hot summer morning; I was packing for the most unrealistic holiday in the world. I was going to fly to the Moon. When I packed I got on a space craft called Mach-5 (5 times faster than the speed of sound. (Cool, isn’t it?).
I flew to the place where I was supposed to stay for exactly 5 minutes. I was going to stay in a hotel-mother ship called “Pride of Highara”. I was staying there for 1 day unpacking and then I flew to the moon to discover a lost or maybe still undiscovered civilization, or maybe some lost relatives (just joking!).
After a 3-minute flight we landed there but unfortunately there was nobody there; we searched for 5 hours but no response. After we came back to the hotel I packed and went home. Now this is a story! Holidays are rare so don’t throw them out of the window like I did. Enjoy them while you still can. If you can, arrange yourself a vacation, great, but if you can’t, then just relax and think about not having to go back to work.

MY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY Anton Dimitrov During the Christmas and New Year holidays all students, including me, had a vacation and had fun. I would like to tell you how I spent the holidays Before Christmas my family and I did not have much time to enjoy ourselves. My father was in Plovdiv, my brother went out with his friends, but I did not have anything which I could do. However, after Christmas my family and I played cards almost all night long, and we enjoyed the time immensely. Before New Year’s Day my friends and I went out with much pocket money and played billiards. Afterwards we went to the gun shop and bought some fireworks. We were very happy. At about 10 pm I was home. On the table there were chops, Russian salad, hazelnuts, almonds and other delicacies. I had wine and champagne. At 12 pm we watched the starry night from the window. It was beautiful. My holiday was exciting and I can definitely say I have not had a more exciting holiday so far. I remember it with great pleasure.

MY HOLIDAY Bedrie Beysim Everybody loves holidays because during your holiday you can relax and have fun. You have enough time to play your favourite sports and practise your hobbies. Below I will tell you about my last holiday. First in my last holiday my family and I went to Australia. We travelled all over the country and we saw a lot of sights. We climbed up in the air in a hot air balloon and we travelled over Alice Springs. We visited Sydney – everybody travels by boat there. I saw green frogs with red eyes and I watched real crocodiles in Kakadu National Park. We camped in the Simpson Desert and visited a tropical forest. I climbed a mountain peak. It was great and exciting! I learned how to scuba dive and then my sister and I swam. We went to the Great Barrier Reef . It was amazing and unforgettable. Second, my family and I went to Italy. We visited our relatives. They lived near the Mediterranean. When I was in Italy I went to the gym with my cousin. Her name is Anelia. I saw many sights and monuments, for example the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Anelia and I went for walks along the coast of the sea. There we met her friends. She introduced me to them. Their names were Simon, Mariana, Lee and Dilyna. Furthermore, during the holiday in Italy I learned a little Italian. I felt very happy in Italy. For the New Year our relatives and we were in the centre of the town. There were a lot of fireworks. In the concert took part Shakira and “The Blue” band. On New Year’s Day we exchanged presents. During the holiday I practised my hobbies, for example I played volleyball and basketball with Anelia and her friends, and I went to the cinema. In addition, we went to a swimming pool. We went to a tennis court and Anelia taught me how to play tennis.

Like all people in the world, I also love the Christmas holidays, because I don’t go to school. For the holidays this year I and my family went to my grandparents in Borovets. When we arrived there was very mach snow, my grandparents were very happy to see us. We arrived on 24 early in the morning, so later we began to prepare for the Christmas dinner. My grandmother and my mum began to make the things which were going to eat, they had to be 13, because this is the tradition. Me and my grandfather and father began to prepare the house for Christmas. When we finished the house was so beautiful that I couldn’t believe my eyes it was like in the films. At nine o’clock p.m we began to eat and celebrate Christmas. We waited until 12 o’clock, because on this day Christ was born. Later we went out and began to play with snowballs and we made a snow man, I was very happy, it was like in a magic story. When I woke up at 9 o’clock on 25 December I went downstairs and looked under the Christmas tree and there was my present It was two speakers for my PC. At 12 o’clock we went skiing. We stayed 2 days and then we traveled to my uncle and aunt in a village called Dobrina. Again, but this time my aunt and my mum began to prepare for the New Year. At 12 o’clock at night on 31 December we celebrated the New Year, my uncle opened the champagne and later we fired the fireworks. I loved my holiday, because it was my best holiday ever.
MY HOLIDAY Jordan Borisov I love my holidays, because they are interesting, amusing and sometimes I go on trips. Below I will tell you about my last holiday. I liked my Christmas holiday because I met my old friends and went for walks with them. I was very happy when I saw them. During my holiday I did all these things with the exception of the trip because I did not have much free time. I enjoyed my wonderful holiday. At Christmas I was in my home with my parents and celebrated with them, and I got a computer as a present. For the New Year, my parents and I were with some friends of ours. MY HOLIDAY Mariana Andonova Everybody loves holidays because during your holiday you can relax and have fun. You have enough time to do your favourite sport and practise your hobbies. Below I will tell you about my last holiday. On 24th December my family went to Sofia to visit my grandmother and grandfather. We travelled by plane and it was so exciting! Around the plane there were a lot of while clouds. At 3 pm we landed in Sofia and then we went to our relatives. They were very happy. I love my grandmother and my grandfather, because they are very good to me, and when I saw them I cried with joy. My mother and my father were very tired, so we relaxed. The next day we wanted to go to Sofialand, but it rained all day and we stayed at home, watched TV and read books. My grandmother bought a Christmas tree and after breakfast we decorated it. In the evening we exchanged presents and we had a wonderful time. On the next day the weather was warm and we went to Sofialand. It was exciting, amazing, but when we were about to go back home I got lost! I had never been to Sofia and I did not really know this town. In Sofialand there were crowds of people and when I did not see my relatives I realized that I had got lost. I was really scared and I did not know what t do. I stood there and hoped they would find me. My mother found me after an hour. She was worried, but she did not scold me. Then we went back home. I spent the whole holiday in Sofia, and my family went back to Varna. On our way back we travelled by plane again. During the trip I thought, ‘Those days were amazing and unforgettable, although I had this small incident.’ My holiday was exciting. I enjoyed it immensely. I am looking forward to going there again next year. I have great plans for spending the next holiday.
MY HOLIDAY Nickolay Indzhiev Everybody likes holidays, especially when he is at school or work. Then we mostly want to take a rest. Below I will tell you about my holiday. Before the holiday I had a plan how to spend it, but I didn’t keep to it. I had a calm and relaxing vacation and few exciting happenings. Mostly I stayed at home and helped for preparing for the feasts. At Christmas I celebrated with my family and some friends in the town of Preslav. I had a great time there. When we went back to Varna we started preparing for celebrating the New Year. It was a very hard preparation because we were expecting guests who were going to celebrate with us. We had lots of fun and a great time. At about 12 o’clock on 31st December, when we were celebrating, lots of fireworks went off in the sky. It was very exciting. On the next day, all day long we cleaned the house. The rest of my holiday was calm and relaxing because I was preparing for school. I was gathering strength. The holiday finished very fast, but I had a host of unforgettable moments with my family and friends. It was really a most enjoyable period.

MY HOLIDAYS Plamen Boychev Everyone likes holidays. People from all over the world celebrate for different reasons. One of the most important holidays is Christmas. More than 2,000 years ago a child was born. This child was the most important people who walked on the Earth. On that day everyone wants to be with his or her family. Some days before the holiday all I wanted was this, but unfortunately it couldn’t happen. My father was a thousand miles far from us, away in the Pacific Ocean. I was glad that I had the chance to hear him one week before December 24th. His birthday is on the 26th of the same month, so I congratulated him on the three different holidays – Christmas, his birthday and the New Year. On Christmas Eve, I felt very excited, because I was with the bigger part of my family and we were so happy! We had a Christmas tree – not very tall, but beautiful. At first there were no presents, but when the clocks struck midnight, my mother gave us some money, because she didn’t know what exactly we wanted. On the next day, December 26th, we went on a visit to my aunt. As I said earlier, my father’s birthday is on that day and I would be happy if I could talk to him and congratulate him personally, but I didn’t hear from him.

From 12 o’clock until 6pm we stayed there. We came back home and my mother made supper. On December 27th I woke up early and I had breakfast. I spent the whole day with my friends. We played football so long that we didn’t feel when night had come. Unfortunately the gate of the school yard where we were playing was locked, so we had to jump over. It was very bad for us, because we had to jump 2 meters. We jumped and landed as normal as it can be. Towards the end of the day something terrible happened. I came back and turned into our street. My father’s aunt who lives on the second floor saw me and stopped me before I went into the block entrance. Can you guess what she told me? I couldn’t believe it! There was a fire! Our switch board was burning and the worst thing was that I couldn’t see my family anywhere. I saw my family coming down the stairs. The fire brigade came soon. They extinguished the fire. We went back home but we couldn’t fall asleep because we were afraid of another fire. I spent the next days with my friends. Then came December 31st. We were about fifteen in our apartment and we celebrated. At 12 pm we heard the President’s speech and my uncle uncorked the champagne. It is now the year 2005. The year 2004 is in the past already. I wish that this year would be better and I look forward to exciting events. I wish everyone health and happiness in the new year! Happy New year!

This holiday my mum came back from Cyprus. She came two weeks before the vacation. Two days before the holiday we had a party in our class. It was fun. We exchanged presents with one other. On Christmas Eve me, mum and my grandparents were at home. At twelve o’clock my mum gave me a present in a small pouch. I wondered what it could be. It was a Q&Q watch. Then we watched a film about Jesus. On the eve of the beginning of the New Year we were at home with friends. We celebrated with my cousin, my aunt, my mum’s friends and few other people. It was fantastic. After the clock reached twelve we drank champagne. I lighted out a battery of fire works. It was great! After that I went to a party at my friend Vasko’s. We were maybe ten people. We chatted and stayed until seven o’clock in the morning. I like my winter vacation because the there are two of the greatest holidays – Christmas and the beginning of the New Year.
MY VACATION Vasil Georgiev Everybody loves vacations, people stay at home, get out with friends or go on excursions. I love vacations too, and I would like to tell you about my vacation in Australia. Two weeks ago (when the winter vacation started), I went to Australia. I visited my brother and his family for the holidays. They have a big house in the vicinity of the sea. The house has a small, but very beautiful garden with flowers. Every day I went to the beach and I went swimming. At Christmas time in Bulgaria it is winter and the weather is bad and cold, but in Australia it is summer and the weather is nice and hot. On New Year’s Day my brother and I went fishing, but we did not have luck. On 1st January (my name day) we went to see seals and Dolphins in the Australian National Aquarium. On the last vacation day I went to the beach’s cliff and I jumped into the sea. I very much liked my vacation, and I would like to go to Australia next year as well.
