2013 Super Bowl Commercials
(The World Famous Budweiser Horses)
The Best
Being the horse lover that I am and knowing the love and commitment that it takes to raise an animal, I would say that the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial tells us a story of a love, strong feelings of warmth and happiness that comes from an everlasting friendship. The commercial not only got people to see glimpses of this young man taking care of this horse that probably lost his mother or was rejected from his mother. It also showed us the stages of the horse’s life growing up. The commercial shows us the horse leaving on the Budweiser truck for a new adventure of becoming an Budweiser horse, but what it does not tells us is that it takes a very special horse to become one of the world famous Budweiser horses. All we see is a proud and sad young man watching his horse, his best friend leave and knowing that this horse will always be in his thoughts. For me, the best part was at the end when the young man went to see the horse that holds a special place in his heart at the parade and he thought the horse forgot about him. But, once again what they could not show us was the horse did recognize the young man. The horse was doing his job and wanted the young man to be proud of him, so when the horse’s gear was off and his job was completed he ran to the young man, his friend. For me, it shows that when you love and care about someone that your love is never forgotten even from a horse.
