A time comes to all of our lives when we have to go through the painstaking process of applying to universities. Our choice is the obvious one- to go to any university in the Land of Opportunities. Unless we achieve this goal, it is clear that life is completely over for us, and there is absolutely no hope for future success, and we can never derive any sort of happiness from life ever again.
Growing up in a 1700square feet house in the city of Dhaka, we have literally been rotting all our lives. With scarce resources, such as possessing only one television in the house, we have spent all our lives fighting against our siblings for our own rights. Thanks to our mothers and their home cooked meals, we were barely ever able to eat out at restaurants. Thus, our view of the outside world has remained quite limited, with the lack of MacDonald’s burgers and The Simpsons.
Our parents are entitled to provide us with the best possible education. So, pressuring them to spend all their savings on our university education is definitely the right way to go. There may be times when our loving parents may tell us that we should stay in this country to help out the children who are less fortunate than us. What they fail to see is that we would only be spoiling those children that way. They should be able to fight their own battles and learn to be strong, just the way we did fighting with our siblings. Did they come to our aid when we were deprived of an episode of Tom and Jerry?

Living a life in jeopardy in Bangladesh with all the corruption is simply not worth it, while we have the opportunity if living in USA where the possession of guns by individuals is absolutely legal. Not only that, we would also be away from our family members who constantly nag about our grades. Instead, we would be under the love and affection by our romantic partners! Who needs family when we can have friends to party with? There is absolutely to reason to be committed to one person for life when we can have three boyfriends or girlfriends…simultaneously.
Having lost eighteen long years suffocating under the rules and regulations is enough of a terrifying experience. The Land of Opportunities is a type of utopian society for us, the less fortunate people of the world. Thus, considering a university here in Bangladesh should remain out of all the options. Giving up on life remains the only available option if we cannot make it to the Land of Opportunities.
