Vegetarian Foods Have Good Effects on Heath
It is impossible for human beings to avoid implementing some basic activities such as eating, drinking, breathing, and sleeping. So, eating is seriously thought of as one of the most essential ways that human beings and creatures must do to supply energy for all inevitable activities. It is questionable that human beings were created to eat everything. Eating habits may be one of the reasons which cause disease. Perhaps it is worth having a look at diets for healthy lives. Vegetarian diets help people prevent from illness, although some negative thoughts about this conception still remain in the majority of people’s minds.
First of all, it is possible to cast a quick glance at definitions of vegetarianism. According to a popular definition, vegetarianism consists of the action of use of plant-based foods like fruits and vegetables. This may be the way that most people do when they want to have vegetarian meals, particularly on lunar days or some solemn events of Buddhism. Apart from this definition, there are more kinds of diet as well. Wikipedia (2011) shows that an ovo- vegetarian diet is served with eggs but without dairy products; a lacto- vegetarian diet includes dairy products but with no eggs; an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet is a combination of ovo-vegetarian and lacto-vegetarian diets. People who follow this diet can eat eggs and products from milk. And the last one is surely the strictest diet because this one does not allow eaters to eat any sorts of animal products including eggs, dairy and honey. Nowadays not only Buddhists but people belonging to other religions or the heterodox are interested in vegetarian foods. This reason can explain why in recent years, vegetarian restaurants have been widely opened in Ho Chi Minh City. Their choices of vegetarian foods for their meals might have the same or different reasons. On other words, the options can be seen in cultural, religious, or ecological purposes. Besides that, a number of people are converting to vegetarianism for health advantages. (Roblin “n.d.”)

As mentioned above, Vegetarianism plays now one more important role in the field of health care for people. Are people safer in a modern life? Is food safe enough? In a very fact that people can answer easily the 2 question above by taking a look at the dramatic decrease of quantity of life and the significant increase of new illnesses. The development of society has always been chased by the population explosion. This insolvable problem leads to a worldwide serious matter in which there is no enough safe food, specially the animal based foods, for the people. To supply people’s needs punctually or to wish to gain more interest, producers put illegally harmful chemicals into animal based products. And certainly, they do not hesitate to carry out this people –killing action on fruits, vegetables and grains. However, consumers can reduce the concentration of chemicals on “plant-based foods” (Wikipedia) more easily than on animal-based foods (Wikipedia).
It is agreed that a meal full of delicacies such as roasted chicken, sautéed lobsters with ginger and scallion, and salted fried crabs is absolutely attractive. C Eaters cannot hide their desire when they see such delicious foods. Former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has said:

Stacks of studies confirm that a diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables, grains and soy is your best bet for living a longer, healthier and more enjoyable life. At the same time, you’re doing the planet a huge favor by helping to preserve natural resources and cutting down on pollution generated by animal agriculture. Plus, you may appreciate your wonderful meals even more knowing that no animals suffered along the way. There are literally hundreds of great reasons to switch to a plant-based diet. I used to be a vegetarian for a period of 3 months after my maternal grandmother’s passing. It is said that people should eat vegetarian foods when their beloved person passes away. This action can help their beloved person‘s soul peaceful in the state of bliss. At that time I did eat vegetarian meals because of the Buddhism beliefs, however my health showed good results. My face looked nicer since hateful pimples disappeared and furthermore I had less constipation. How fantastic was it! It’s like hitting two birds with one stone. It also means that plant based foods are nutritious and healthy for people
It is deniable that fiber plays a sufficient leader in digesting the food that we take in. We only have it in plant based foods. Some people are still not sure that plant based foods supply the essential substances to maintenance their lives. Please do not be frightened.
Nowadays, more and more famous people like President Bill Clinton, singer Ho Quynh Huong in Vietnam etc, have stopped their meat eating habits to be vegans. Some studies demonstrated that Vegetarian diet primarily gets involved with grains, nuts, cereals, beans, vegetables and fruits. Hence, it is rich in fiber, folic acid and vitamin C. Vegetables and fruits provide vitamins and minerals which are requisite for a healthy body. Meanwhile people can gain some good sources of proteins if they eat beans, tofu and seeds( Roblin “n.d.”).
It is impossible to refuse the importance of sugar for actions of people’s bodies. Therefore natural sugars, beneficial enzymes and trace elements derived from vegetables and fruits are a correct option.
Obesity is also considered as illness of the rich. Nowadays it is so easy to see overweight people. The eating habit of non-controlling intake of fat leads to maltreatment for bodies and souls. What I want to introduce is plant oil. Olive oil is an a wonderful substitution. It contains low amount of fats, cholesterol and saturated fats. On the contrary, it has some good component like Omegas and vitamins E and K (Burton “n. d”).

Vegetarians are people who maintain a strict diet of grains, dairy products, fish, vegetables, fruits and eggs. People can choose to eat some particular foods like vegetables, fruits and grains or everything without meat. They can make their own combinations of foods in their diet. ...
As a result, it deduces the risk of weight gain. Also, this can limit the possibilities of developing the health issues caused by obesity. It is agreeable that owning a strong, slim body is an implemental dream. Models always take care of their shapes by following exercise routines and healthy diets full of plant based foods. The more we explore the values of vegetarian foods, the more we determine that our lives from now on depend much on vegetarian foods.
To sum up, we probably have various reasons for eating vegetarian meals. However supplying plant based foods to our lives is an ideal option. In my opinion the conception of vegetarianism is not derived from the modern aged human beings .This is now becoming more popular because we-the hosts of this green planet think that human being has been abusing things that Mother Nature possess. Mankind has been merciless to slaughter other creatures for food. Thus our global has negatively changed. The weather is much hotter. Lots of immense green forests which are compared to people’s lungs and brave preventers from natural disasters have surprisingly disappeared. In my opinion, it may be to late to have a serious look at our behavior here on Earth. But later is better than never. We must cure our environmental living by concrete actions. One of the actions is that we could choose vegetarian foods to eat more often. The world will be beautiful again thank to the changing of eating habits. And we will be healthier in the better living environment; it is a win – win situation.
