Ethics Research Paper
Morals is a person’s standards or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for
them to do. For example when you are brought up your parents teach you core values which
are instilled in you for life. You learn good from bad and right from wrong. Your morals should
always stay the same. In a sense they are the rules to life. Ethics is a code of morals for a
certain profession or person. So basically they are rules or standards that need to be followed
according to the job that needs to be done.
The difference between morals and ethics is morals are a certain type of beliefs that
define your personal self. From person to person morals will change depending on many factors.
A few examples would be religion, race, or upbringing. Ethics are a set of standards that you
must follow according to the person, place or job. Even though your morals may not agree with
your ethics it is still something you would have to practice to ensure proper ethics. An example
of ethics versus morals would be if you were a doctor and your job was to give abortions,
although you didn’t believe in abortions because it’s against your morals. Your jobs ethics would
entitle you to have to do the right thing according to your job’s ethics.
Safety ethics are the same as ethics if you ask me. Safety ethics would be more geared

towards the safety of yourself and others or whatever you might be working on or for. Like I said
earlier ethics are a certain type of rules or a code that must be followed. An example of safety
ethics in the job of aircraft is always ensuring you do your very best because you’re dealing with
people’s lives. Another example might me be to protect the technician by always making sure
you wear your safety goggles. Although you may not want to you must because these are your
safety ethics.
Ethics are very important to have for many reasons. The first being that if we did not
have ethics everything would be in complete chaos. There would be no rhyme or reason to
anything and no order. It’s also very important if you want to maintain quality. Ethics are given
to us so that we may maintain equality across the board. If we did not have ethics people would
be able to do whatever they pleased according to their own morals and that would be very bad.,
because again morals are one’s own personal beliefs. That is why ethics need to stay intact to
establish what is needed in order to get the job done.
Ethics is needed in everyone’s life. Now does everyone use them is another issue entirely.
Ethics are mainly used in the workplace. Reason being is that they are enforced there. They are
repeated over and over again and are driven into your head, so that you never forget them. Also
if you do not follow the ethics of the job you risk losing your job. This is why it is used
here more frequently no one would want to risk losing their job over something so petty like not
following the rule’s. A place were there rarely used would be on the road. Many people roll
through stop signs or speed over the limit all the time. Yes they’re consequences such as getting
tickets but people don’t care so much about these. For whatever reason they often think they
won’t get caught but sooner or later it will catch up with you.
Ethics are applied in everyday life for one let’s say you want to cheat on your test. You
know morally it’s wrong cause you are taught that. The ethics would be to not cheat because
The Term Paper on What Are Some Other Reasons That People Work?
There is no doubt that some people work mainly for salary, that is to say, for money. Thanks to money, people can afford the goods and services. However, actually, work does more than that. That is the very reason why people work. The first reason is that we can not only gain a lot of experience from work but also draw lessons from work. Compared with money, experience and lessons which cannot be ...
you are told by your teacher that you are no to do this because you can get kicked out of school.
The right thing to do would refrain from doing so. You now know the consequence for your
action so you need to decide what works best for you according to your school ethics.
A personal scenario involved a car accident I witnessed. The right thing was to pull over
and give my personal information so that I could be a witness. As I was doing this someone ran
up to me and offered me money to say I saw something entirely different from what I had
witnessed. Now I would never do this because for one it is wrong and for two it was against my
morals to lie. So I did not lie I told the officer what I witnessed exactly. Another scenario was at
work I was sealing in a tank were I so happened to be upside down and my goggles kept flopping
off. A coworker of mind just told me to take them off no one would even see me inside the tank.
Of course I did and I ended up getting caught because my supervisor was walking the floor and
saw me then asked me why I was not wearing my safety glasses. I turned bright red and did not
know what to say but I knew then I would never take anyone’s advice again. I knew the rules and
I choose to not listen to then so that was my own fault.
