The outcome of our survey are:
Out of 10 respondents, (6) of them have their own computer at home and (4) of them don’t have their personal computer. In question no. 2, (6) of the respondents are still renting at the computer shop even if they had their own computer at home and (4) out of 10 don’t. In question no. 3, (6) out of 10 respondents said that they spents 1-3 hrs. in front of computer, (3) of them spents 1-2 hrs. and (1) of them spents 5 hrs. and more in front of computer. (5) of the respondents do their assignments first before playing and anything else and (5) don’t. In question no. 5, we asked the respondents if online gaming helps them to gain more friends and (9) of them said yes and (1) said no. In question no. 6, (8) of the respondents said that sports is better than online gaming and (2) of them thinks that online games is better than sports. (6) of the respondents said that they find online games as stress reliever, (1) said that online gaming is just his past time or he is just playing for fun, (1) of them finds online game enjoyable when it comes in action, adventure or scary, (2) of them are playing because they’re influenced by their friends. Online games are becoming increasingly complex, detailed, and compelling to a growing international audience of players. With better graphics, more realistic characters, and greater strategic challenges, it’s not surprising that some teens would rather play the latest video game than hang out with friends, play sports, or even watch television. Of course, all gamers are not addicts many teens can play video games a few hours a week, successfully balancing school activities, grades, friends, and family obligations. But for some, gaming has become an uncontrollable compulsion. Studies estimate that 10 percent to 15 percent of gamers exhibit signs that meet the World Health Organization’s criteria for addiction. Just like gambling and other compulsive behaviors, teens can become so enthralled in the fantasy world of gaming that they neglect their family, friends, work, and school. After we conducted the survey we found out that as the population growing many of the people uses computers and as years passes by computer users gets younger and younger. This is because most of us now uses the computer to teach the young ones and of course kids have curios minds they become conscious about computers.
