as we know world war II was an event that changed the perspective of life in a lot of ways, a millions of people lost their family, cities were completely destroyed, depression in world reached the highest levels, and at the same time humans were forced to go to concentration camps where they were exterminated. When I see these atrocities in the movies, books, or even in magazines, I always ask myself this question, how evil a person can be to make this hostility to the human life? With this research paper I want to know how bad humans were treated in the concentration camps, and I also would like to identify what was the purpose of the Nazis on eliminating that enormous amount of population.
The Holocaust is a term generally used to describe the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II; this extermination was sponsored by German Nazis. Some people believe that the definition of holocaust should also include the Nazi’s systematic murder of millions of people in other groups, including ethnic poles, Romani, Soviet civilians, People with disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah’s witnesses, and other political and religious opponents. With the addition of these groups the total number of holocaust victims would be between 11 million and 17 million people. In the outcome of the Holocaust, people around the world were shocked by final tallies of human losses, and the people responsible were punished for their inhuman acts. The Holocaust was a dark time in the history of the 20th century.
David Suzuki and Holly Dressel's book From Naked Ape to Super species provides an intriguing and shocking view into technology and culture in today's society. Their opinions, which are based on various experiences and observations made over the years, suggest that human beings will eventually lead to the destruction of the natural world. "Human beings and the natural world are on a collision ...
The persecution and genocide were carried out in stages. A legislation to remove the Jews from civil society was passed years before the outbreak of World War II. Concentration camps were established, the people oppressed were used as slaves until they died of exhaustion or disease. Where the third Reich conquered new territory in Eastern Europe, specialized units murdered Jews and political opponents in mass shootings. Many victims of the Holocaust suffered from various experiments which eventually led to the death. Some of the experiments were things such as: sun lamp, internal irrigation, hot bath, warming by body heat, freezing/hypothermia etc. The internal irrigation system is when, “the frozen victims would have water heated to a near blistering temperature forcefully irrigated into the stomach, bladder, and intestines.” Why would anybody perform such horrible things on another human being? That is a question that many people still can’t answer. It is much more complex than it may seem. The Nazi’s wanted to make the victims do so many degrading things that they would appear to be subhuman. Killing somebody less than human was more justifiable to the Nazi’s.
I think that the Nazis the real purpose of the Nazis by killing and torturing that amount of humans will always be unknown because there is no reasonable reason to do that atrocity, but what I understood is that they thought that they where the best raze and that all the other people that did not matched with their stereotype should be eliminated. As I described they did terrible things to the Jews and the others that they pointed as inferiors, and we can see the level of madness that they have, the Germans where manipulate by Hitler making them believe that they were doing the right thing, but it was not. Most of the Germans that worked at the concentration camps cannot even explain why they were doing it, they just though that it was the right decision. This showed us that people can be bad with not even have a reasonable intention and that also showed us that humanity as well can disappear. Hitler had influence on people´s values and morality, he changed the perspective of life, but I hope that he is the deepest part of hell paying for what did.
