Research design is a component of the whole research which indicates the general outline of the research project in regards to data collection and analysis. The project design will show all aspects of the research in regards to the sample population, data analysis, research tools, time schedule, synopsis, research plan, resources among others. One of the researches we are going to examine is titled “Connecting to the Curriculum: Kehidupan Sehari-Hari – An Indonesian Language Trail in the Adelaide Botanic Garden” (Botanic Gardens Conservation International, 2004) and the other is titled “Connecting Curriculum with Student Lifeworlds” (Hattam, n.d).
Using the second research in this case, the design of the research was a combination of descriptive and explorative design through an action research method. The first aim was to determine how students can use the curriculum to change their life-worlds and their communities, the second aim was to explore on what relevant curriculum will engage students in proper learning, and how to sustain students’ expectation during learning.
In this second research, data was collected from several books as indicated in the introduction section. An insightful historical analysis of this literature was given. A sample space of about 10 schools was chosen through random sampling to collect data, the target groups were students and teachers. Three teachers were chosen to aid in the action research where the third teacher was chosen to develop a curriculum based on everyday life of the community. The students were taught and during the class, data was collected. Similarly, data collection in the first research project was based on physical survey and interviews. The physical survey was conducted by looking at the trend on the kind of teachers that often use the botanic garden during teaching and trying to find out any available material to confirm that the teachers actually visited the garden. This first research employed the use of sampling by choosing on only one language among several other languages and a specific student age group.
The Research paper on Social Psychology Subjects Research Students
An Evaluation Of The Types Of Subject sAn Evaluation Of The Types Of Subjects Used In Social Psychological Research Over the past few years there has been a growing concern about the validity of psychological research, due to the fact that an overwhelming majority of studies have used university and college students as subjects who have been tested in academic laboratories on tasks which are quite ...
The finding of the first research was that student enjoyed learning in groups and popular culture can be effectively used in learning for example, integrating the students’ live experience, culture with the subject being taught. The finding of the second research was that language teachers can integrate environmental perspective into their teaching.
After deep analysis of these two researches, the application of causal research seems to be the best. This is because it is important to establish the causes and effects of the current situation. My study will be similar to these two researches in the areas of data collection but will follow a specific design topology. The formulation of the problem will be exploratory, descriptive and analytical. The use of action approach in the first research will be highly borrowed since the teachers and students will be expected to be involved during the research and then drawing some correlations to these findings and the existing ones. The topic scope will be based on historical study and case studies in curriculum development. The search environment will be field survey. The time frame will be developmental and follow up. The use of research tools such as charts, tables will be prioritized since they will assist in data analysis (Gopal, 1970).
The Term Paper on Binge Drinking Research Wechsler Data
Establishing and maintaining a solid research design is paramount in any statistical research process. Furthermore, as Davis, Utts, and Simon (2002, p. 105) cite, "one of the salient components of a proposal is the specification of the research design to solve the particular problem at hand... inadequate design will yield information that is incapable of answering the research question under ...
Proper time frame which was a limitation in the first research will be taken care of by scheduling a good project plan. Data will be collected through a wide variety of methods such as physical survey, interviews as used in both of them and literature review from the first one but I will also include questionnaires to aid in data collection.
