In the previous of movie of Despicable Me, it talks about the brief concept that everbody has good inside them and no matter how twisted and evil one can get, there will always be that something that can make a person’s heart soft. This was easily portrayed in when the protagonist ( Gru ) met the three orphan kids ( Margo, Edith and Agnes ) and how they literally changed his life. In the sequel Despicable Me 2, the Gru’s story continues but due to the marketing of this movie, somehow the minions became a main character in the movie unlike in the first movie where they were only just assistant’s to Gru’s evil plots.
The movie mostly rotated in the minions because let’s face the fact that they are extremely adorable. It talks about some serum that when inserted in any living specimen can turn them “evil”. If we summarize the movie it’s mostly about some evil dude named “ El Macho” capturing Gru’s irresistible minions and turning them evil for world domination but in the end Gru prevails and recover’s his minions and they live happily ever after. But if we look a little closer, we can see that this movie is more than just little yellow engineers wearing matching overalls.
In the next paragraphs I will cite some parts of the movie in which we can gets lessons that we can apply in life. First, one scene in the movie is the first time Gru and Lucy met. Gru shot his freeze ray at Lucy and mistaken her for just a common woman that you can see everyday on the street or the times that the minions saw an ice cream van which turned out to be a machine that abducted them. But after firing his freeze ray, Lucy counters with a flamethrower and the ice cream van just sucked all of the minions that were captivated by it.
Little Children Movie Review
“You couldn’t change the past. But the future could be a different story. And it had to start somewhere. ” This final statement sums up the message of the Little Children, a film opus of Todd Fiend, that talks not merely about a love affair of two married persons, but the story of struggle and redemption of common folk living in an upper-middle class suburban Boston. This ...
In this scene we can learn that not everything is what it seems. In today’s modern world, we can see many things that can easily deceive us. Never make the mistake of underestimating anyone because sooner or later you will pay for it like Gru did when he was hit with the lipstick tazer and the minions when they were abducted. Second, is Gru’s flashback on how he was humiliated when he confessed his love for a cute girl back in his childhood days. Unrequited Love, now that is a topic that everyone can relate to.
Sometimes in life there is that someone we desperately like but know that we can never have and mostly the reason is because they are way out of our league. But if we wait long enough we will find love and meet that person that can make everything right. Look at Gru, he never wasted any of this time dating but when the time came he met Lucy that loved him for who he is. The lesson is never settle for anyone you know is not right for you and learn to accept the love you know you deserve because true love is always worth the wait.
Finally, that moment when Dr. Nefario betrayed his employer (El Macho) to help Gru. Since El Macho kidnapped Gru’s minions it was okay with him but when El Macho kidnapped Lucy it made Dr. Nefario pissed. He told Gru the truth and like he said “ Nobody messes with family “. This shows us the true value of the imporatance of the value of family that no matter what happens to us and how corrupted we can be, they will always be there to help us make things right again.
The movie Despicable Me 2 is a movie appropriate for all ages because it can teach us many things we can never comprehend in books or in real life. There was a scene in the movie when Gru learned that Lucy was kidnapped he immediately came to her rescue. Here we can see the most important lesson anyone can learn and that we should apply in life, that we should never stop fighting for what we know is right.
