There is a lot to think about when you want to buy a home computer. You have two main choices; you can either buy a Mac or a PC. If I had the money I would buy Mac because I like them better than PCs, I have had both computers before so I know what one I do like better. When you buy a home computer you have to do some research on what kind of computer you would like to get. You also need to know what you want in a computer, how fast you want it and how much memory, how big a hard drive you want and how much you want to spend. It also depends on what you want the computer for like work or school.
PCs are great for home computers and for doing only school work, and typical work you would do at home on a computer. PCs are for normal computer users and are user friendly and not hard to use at all. I see it as a typical computer for a family where even the youngest person in the house can use it. My daughter who is three years old can use our home PC with no problem at all.
Macs are better computer for computer programmers, and people who work in the computer industry. Macs have been around for almost as long as PCs have. When you buy a Mac you are getting a top notch computer. You are getting a computer that will be very good for all the kind of work you are doing. It is good for school work and any other kind of work you need to do.
The Essay on Living With Computers At Home
Living With Computers at Home Over the last 5-10 years computer has firmly established as an indispensable device of our daily life making possible to move huge amounts of information in seconds. Computerization has turned out to be the key tool in our age of information leading to progress. Today it would be hard to imagine world without smart helpers. The rapid development of computer and ...
Macs and PCs have similar but different kind of components. Macs and PCs have hard drives, memory, video cards, sound cards and all the other equipment that goes into computers. How do you make a choice between one and the other? Well PCs are more inexpensive then Macs, but when you buy more inexpensive you get problems. PCs have an OS (operating system) called windows and windows have a lot of kinks and glitches in it meaning they have problems running sometimes. Macs have an OS called OSX and the latest version of it is Snow Leopard and I know there are not glitches in it at all.
A big difference between Macs and PCs is that with PCs you can upgrade just about anything in your computer and with Macs the only thing you can upgrade is the Ram and Hard drive. Macs are like the BMW of computers and PCs are like a Chevy Camaro. Macs only have certain programs that will work with Macs and not PCs.
A typical good PC will cost you about $500.00 to $800.00 as a Mac will cost you about $800.00 to $1,200.00 for a good one. There are also PCs that cost that much but if you are going to pay the money, then why not buy the better computer which is a Mac.
Some other things that are different between Macs and PCs are, PCs get a lot of virus and crash more often, there is something called the blue screen of death where your screen turns blue and your PC will not work anymore. Macs do not have any of those problems, I have never heard of someone getting a virus or the blue screen of death on a Mac.
I think that the only way to choose between one of the computers is to do your own research and see which one you like better. Most people buy PCs over Macs just because of the price, but with the price you get the quality. If you have only owned a PC, I would stay with that just because you know how to use it.
So is there a really big difference between Macs and PCs? Which one should you buy if money were not an issue? Would you buy the BMW of computers or would you buy a Chevy Camaro? These are questions you have to ask yourself before you buy anything at all. If you spend more money then you will get the better product. Which one would you want to own a Mac or a PC?
