Also, Amendment Nine of the US Constitution states, “The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” (US Constitution, 40) Meaning that no rights of the Constitution should be wrongly translated to exclude any certain people. All people deserve to be treated equally, therefore, homosexuals should be allowed the right to marry just like everyone else.

These children also develop normally. After researching studies on IQ measures, along with psychological and emotional surveys, Johnson and Connor come to the following conclusion. “… None of these studies show that children of gay parents mature no differently than other children … In no case was there any significant differences between children of lesbian parents and children of heterosexual parents.” (Johnson and Connor, 77) In other words, no studies done, emotional, intellectual, and everything in between, children of homosexual parents are just as stable as children of heterosexual parents.
