surrounded by twenty-three four folded armies, he attacked the capital of yadavas, Mathura Seeing that army, Krishna thought thus “This incarnation of me is for the destruction of evils and for the protection of good. For the protection and maintenance of Dharma, this mortal body is bored by me.” When Krishna was thinking thus, two divine chariots with all retinues along with sun-like two brilliant charioteers alighted and stood before him. suddenly, all the divine weapons also appeared there. Then Lord vasudeva spoke to sankarshana ” oh! Noble one, see the calamity of yadus has begun.
Here your chariot has arrived and all the necessary weapons are also obtained. Mounting the chariot, destroy the army of jarasandha. Protect our yadavas. our birth is only for this purpose. Remove the weight of the earth by killing the twenty three armies. ” Thus saying Lord Krishna mounting the chariot of the charioteer Dharukha went out and blew the conch.
Balarama too mounting the chariot came there with a small army of yadavas. Then with the army of jarasanda, Rama and Krishna fought. The large 23 four four folded armies, which were the weight of the earth, were destroyed within a moment by them (Rama and Krishna).
Balarama caught jarasanda who was without chariot. But Krishna stopped Balarama with an intention Of his future actions through jarasanda. Being released by them, with shame, jarasanda, returned to his city Girivraja.
Thus in this manner, jarasanda with his four -folded armies, fought with yadus, protected by Krishna, seventeen times. Then he went to his city, being defeated by Krishna’s brilliance. When the eighteenth time the battle was started, the warrior yavana, came and seized Mathura. seeing him, Krishna said to sankarshana. Construction of the city Dwaraka amidst the ocean Oh! Bringing there, our blood relations, we shall capture yavana. Thus counseled, lord amidst the ocean built a wonderful city with a castle of 12 yojanas. In that city all the ancient sciences were exhibited through the skill of architecture. According to vastu shastra the four roads meeting at function were also constructed. They are delightful and beautiful gardens with divine trees and creepers are also seen. That beautiful city was also constructed with golden like peak of crystal towers touching the sky and the houses were with beautiful gem studded halls and small pools.
Lord Indra too sent the parijatha of the heaven to Krishna. Varuna sent mind like shift horses. Lord of wealth kucera gave the treasury Lord Krishna with his power of yoga made all the people of Matura to live there. The people being protected by Krishna lived happily like gods in that newly Constructed dwaraka city, which was like another capital of heaven, Amaravati.

Once, the god of love, who was burnt by the fury of lord Shiva, was born to rukmini as an incarnation of Vishnu, through the potency of Krishna. He was named as pradyumna. Within a short time he became a beautiful teen with youthful age. At the same time, manmatha’s former wife, rate, who became a beautiful woman of three worlds, with a name mayavati, came through the sky and entered the harem of Krishna abandoned by thousands of women.

Hearing the sound of the great conch that great demon, taking his trident came for battle Shouted terribly with his five faces. Krishna killed the mura sportively. Then thousands of demons of mighty power, being instructed by bowma, came for the battle.
Lord sent all those demons to the abode of Yama. Then, demon naraka took his trident to kill Krishna. Due to his approach, Krishna made his head fall on the ground with his disc like before. Seeing the head of bowma which had fallen on the Earth adorned by ear rings and by the jewel of beautiful crown, goddess earth approached Krishna and submitted the ear pendants of aditi, umbrella of Indra along with vaijayanthi vanamala. then that goddess earth praised Krishna thus. 1 “Salutations to you, oh! Lord of gods, Wielder of conch, disc and mace and the, Possessor of form as liked by the devotees.
2. Oh! Supreme lord of lotus like naval Cavity adorned by the garland of lotus Possessing lotus like eyes and lotus feet. 3. Oh! Lord, Vishnu the son of vasudeva, Oh! Purusha, the first originator, knower Of everything, salutations to you. You are only myself, water, fire, wind, sky, gods, mind, senses, doer and every movables and immovable. The bowma the son of me and you the omnipresent, save him.
On the head of him please place the lotus like palm which is capable of removing all the sins” thus the goddess earth requested. Thus being requested by the earth, lord entered the abode of bowma. There he saw the 16000 royal women abducted by bowma. Seeing Krishna, all those 16000 royal women, desired to have Krishna as their husband. All of them one by one entered the heart of lord Krishna by saying, “let me become your life” The inner soul of the world, lord Krishna knowing their intention, took all those women to dwaraka along with all the wealth, gold, things, and vehicles of narakasura. Going to the abode of indra, Krishna gave the 2 ear pendants to aditi and gave the umbrella and the gem to indra.
Then being influenced by his wife satyabama, uprooting the parijatha tree and mounting garuda, he defeated the gods with indra went to dwaraka and planted the tree in the garden of satyabama. Then within a while, he created 16000 houses for the dwelling of the royal women. By the grace of lord all the beautiful women, were adorned by divine clothes and jewels. All the new houses of them remained with all comforts. By the eternal Krishna’s sight and service of his touch, all those 16000 women became delighting devotees of the lord.
Thus lord Krishna shone along with those women enjoying the human world and observing the duties of a householder. Seeing Krishna in the 16000 houses, the sage narada praised the virtues of lord Krishna with wonder. Those Krishna’s wives one by one gave birth to 10 children. In course of time, to the wives of Krishna, the sons and grandsons became crore. Rukmini’s son was pradyumna, pradyumna’s son was aniruddha. He married the daughter of banasura named usha.
Battle between Krishna and banasura The son of bali, and thousand armed banasura was a devotee of Shiva. He was stubborn, vowed, prestigious, eloquent speaker, truthful and intelligent. His capital was shonitapuri. By the grace of sh ambu, even the gods became his servants. Bana’s daughter usha was a girl of matchless beauty. On a certain day she saw Aniruddha in her dream.
She wished him alone to be her husband. Once her friend chitraleka by the power of yoga went to dwaraka and taking aniruddha who was in sleep, left him in shonitapurs and gave him to usha. There he stayed happily forgetting dwaraka city. Seeing aniruddha in the harem of usha, the furious bana fastened him and chained him with the noose of snakes. Hearing the news from the words of narada, Krishna along with the army of the yadavas went to shonitapura. There was a tuimultous battle between Krishna and bana.
Bana charged the arrows on Krishna with his thousand arms. For the sake of bana shiva also came to the battle, but even he could not win Krishna. Krishna cut bana’s arms like branches of the trees. Then lord shiva interfered and requested Krishna thus “oh! The great yogi, Krishna this banasura is the foremost among the devotees dearer to me, observer of truth, though a demon, endowed with good qualities, he was given refuge by me who was pleased, therefore let him have the grace of you, how you protected his father bali, likewise protect him too.” Hearing, that lord Krishna spoke thus” oh! Lord shankara, this son of bali will not be killed by me because a certain boon was given to praha lada that I wont kill his generation. His arms are cut to destroy the arrogance of him; the remaining four arms will be permanent. From now the four-armed banasura have become a long living one and also an important attendee to you.
Let the best of Shiva devotee be fearless.” Then bana saluting Krishna, submitted aniruddha along with the bride usha to him. Then Krishna went to dwaraka being permitted by rudra along with aniruddha and retinue. Seeing aniruddha who returned again with a newly wedded wife, all the dwellers of dwaraka rejoiced. Story of kuchela There was a twice born named sudd hama who was a friend of Krishna.
He was a self satisfied for the sake of his senses, detached, conquer of his senses, one that lives with what he gets, a householder. He has many children. His wife was also like him, a chaste woman, one who can tolerate hunger, poor. She with her pale face and with tremor said to her husband thus, oh! Lord Krishna is your childhood friend, who is fond of Brahmins, giver of refuge, fond of devotees approach him. That lord of wealth will give lot of wealth to you, an householder.” That Brahman kuchela thus being requested by his wife, made up his mind to go by thinking that “sight of the supreme abode is a great profit.” That chaste lady, begging and getting four handful of flattened rice from the Brahmins, taking it in a piece of cloth gave it to her husband as a gift.
That best of Brahmins took it and went to dwaraka city. Oh! Krishna how can I see you? Thinking thus, he went and entered at once to the 16000 houses of krishna’s wives. Lord Krishna, seeing from a distance, rising from his seat at once, approached him with joy and embraced him with his arms. Making him to sit on a chair, he hounered him with 16 services and welcomed him.
Queen rukmini served, that Brahmin kuchela who was emancipated and weak by facing with camara. Seeing that the attendants of the harem were surprised thus ” what meritorious deed is done by this poor? This rich and the preceptor of the three worlds is worshiping him. “Those two krishna and kuchela catching hold of hands shared their memories about guru kula. Then lord with smile spoke to kuchela thus, oh! Kuchela, what did you bring me from your house to me as a gift.” but that poor and best among devotees, with his bended head in shy, did not give the flattened rice. Then lord Krishna voluntarily snatched the flattened rice from him asking “what is this.” Then Krishna taking handful, at once ate. When he was about to eat the second handful, his wife rukmini stopped him and said” this is enough for him to attain all riches.” That kuchela stayed happily there in the house of Krishna that night, after eating and drinking.
Next morning being permitted by Krishna, went home. There seeing his chaste wife like the goddess of wealth adorned by beautiful ornaments and clothes and a beautiful house with all comforts became surprised. That noble wife, going near him and saluting him, led him into the house. Entering and seeing the real house where there was plenty of riches, kuchela taught thus: “Oh! Lord Krishna is indeed very compassionate. By accepting a handful of rice given by me he made me a wealthy person. Let my intimate friendship continue in each and every birth.
What is the use of this wave like human life? Riches are always the ambition of humans. Objects of pleasure are like disappearing lighting. Nothing is permanent.” The lotus like feet of the lord Krishna is alone permanent.” Deciding thus, becoming detached, kuchela, obtained the supreme abode of the lord by eternal meditation of Krishna and by singing the glory of him. Coronation of yudhistra In the battle of kurukshetra between pandavas an the kauravas, Krishna became the charioteer of arjuna, preached him gita and showed him the manifest universal form.” already the kauravas are killed, you are here just for name sake” thus being said by arjuna, lord agitated the army of kauravas. The pandavas side destroyed the kauravas side.
Thus he destroyed the eighteen four folded armies of in kurushetra and protected and protected the devotees pandavas by making yudhistra to mount the throne. Thus lord thought that the weight of the earth has been removed by killing all the kings in the battle of kurushetra. The pandavas and their mother kunt i became the permanent devotees of Krishna. Thus lord Krishna removed the weight of the earth by killing the wicked and becoming the wish-yielding tree of his devotees, protected them. For the maintenance of dharma, becoming an ideal householder lived happily in the city dwaravati along with his sons, friends, wives and relatives.
